Once upon a time, there was an SVN repository that allowed Wesnoth UMC creators to collaborate and host their projects and served as sort of a “UMC community” or better yet, a “UMC guild”. Many...

Re: Script Advice/Critique

No matter how much time you spend storyboarding there can always be things you want to change in earlier scenarios. If you download a "Work in Progress" campaign you should be aware this can happen.

Re: Projectiles Offset Position

The offset positions are the distance (in pixels) from the center of the hex. You could try layering the fire breath sprite over the demondog sprite in a program like Gimp and seeing how far you need to move it for it to look good. Alternatively, you could try out values in-game, and tweak them unti...

{VARIABLE_OP target_idx rand "0..$target_selection.length"} Except target_idx can end up out-of-bounds by one. What you want is: {VARIABLE_OP target_idx rand "0..$($target_selection.length - 1)"} so, if i understand you two correctly, the stored unit is the one whom the ra...

[store_unit] [filter] side=whatever [filter_location] x,y=whatever radius=whatever [/filter_location] [/filter] kill=no variable=target_selection [/store_unit] {VARIABLE_OP target_idx rand "0..$($target_selection.length - 1)"} The targeted unit should then be target_selection[$target_idx] .

Re: How hard should hard be?

I think this very much depends on how hard you WANT the scenario to be. There isn't one standard for how hard a campaign should be, and it's completely up to you what you see as "hard enough". Compare TSG and NR in mainline, for example. Both campaigns provide a certain amount of challenge...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I can definitely defend git as being fairly easy to set up on windows and mac. It also makes it easier to pinpoint bugs and organize bug reports and feedback, as well as make everything more organized for yourself as well. The (minimal) extra effort is something you definitely do get used to.

Re: Era of Chaos v1.4.0 for Wesnoth 1.12 and 1.13

Era of Chaos v1.4.0 is now available! After a long delay (multiple years) I've finally started working on this era again. This update makes better use of the new features 1.12 and 1.13 have brought us and contains a quite a lot of new graphics, either imported from shadowm's work, as well as previo...
