Re: Strange problem with campaign button
The wesnoth package contains no campaigns, if you want to play the official campaigns get yourself the wesnoth-all package (apt-get install wesnoth-all).

Re: Luck in Wesnoth: Rationale
If the RNG would be taken out it would result in even more people being unhappy, they play wesnoth for what it is now. If you think you don't like the luck you can make an addon that removed it. Think because you never even played wesnoth without the RNG, so it's possible you would quickly run back ...

Re: Luck in Wesnoth: Rationale
I think it ultimately comes down to it if you like wesnoth with luck or you don't. Just like some people like certain foods, and others distaste it. One group of people likes a certain sports, while others hate it. And there are probably also some that don't like one type of food but eat it anyway. ...

Re: help bug
What version of Wesnoth are you using? Is it: 1.4.0, 1.4.1 or 1.4.2.
From your screenshot it looks to be 1.4.0.
Both 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 have updates for the Spanish language.

Re: Server problems
I disagree with you on the point that the issue can not be on your machine/system. Hundreds of people are playing wesnoth every day, and for those few that reported connection issues it has always been because 1) the server was down for a short time or 2) Wesnoth was not allowed to access the intern...

Re: Freezes when I start a scenario
I have similar issues with my Core 2 Duo on Vista, game loads very slow and often freezes (stops responding). When I wait long enough however the game starts responding again. This happens both for the P4 optimization and safe mode. For both Wesnoth 1.4.1 and 1.5.0, I believe it started with the int...

Re: Campaign: Love To Death
You're package is now a 4000 KB one, seems acceptable. However, the largest part (2.48 MB) comes from the /images/Maps/ and /images/Story/ folder. They are all blurry images in style, so can be saves as low quality jpeg without a noticeable difference in quality. After doing this I ended up with the...

Re: Match Statistic (Final Report)
Your ASCII skills are nice and your idea is a good one. Especially stuff like the unit of the match will be fun to have at the ending of a game.

Re: What Operating System do you use?
It would be an extremely long list when I would add all the different versions. It's not just OS X versions that are left out, there are also a few hundred Linux distributions left out with all their different versions. I tried to add most popular operating systems, while at the same time keeping th...
