Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units

I like everything, but I can't read the healer's arm and recipe book. I didn't know it was a book until I read the text.

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units

I saw no comments on the nagas skin colour. Should I move on with the light green or the less saturated green? It makes sense for the nagas from different regions to have different colors, so I see nothing wrong with changing it. The less-saturated green is okay, but it is pretty similar to the yel...

Re: Possible Mainline Sprite Portraits

I know LordBob had some issues with this one, but it doesn't seem totally unacceptable, more so as we don''t seem to be getting many contributions as of late. So do I: it doesn't look like fire. We have a low number of contributions because there is a high bar. But, that's also why BfW is high qual...

Re: Getting rid of the wreath after beta testing

if Wesnoth is being updated pretty regularly, I have something much older than "1.12" Wesnoth doesn't have major version releases that often, it's just that your version is almost nine years old! You've missed three version updates, and we are on 1.14 now. You are going to continue to find it a lit...

Re: Terrain codes

2. Hold the shift key while placing the forests This tip should be a note in the editor itself somewhere. It's fine that there's a wiki page, but that's not where I would think to look for help. Actually, I used to just assume it was impossible, so I wasn't looking for help in the first place. (Act...

Doesn't hitpoints affect both HP AND max HP?
No, hitpoints and max_hitpoints are separate.

So what do I do? Add increase_totals?
Use unit.max_hitpoints instead of unit.hitpoints.

Re: Stupid Questions (see last post)

Can I put the code that would normally go into the [modification] and put it under [campaign]? I have the code outside and inside the [modification] block. It sounds like you haven't realized that each tag has a very specific list of tags and keys that it can contain, and it can't contain anything ...

Re: Lengthening a battle

I suspect there is a more concise way of doing it You can just include it in your initial side definition: [side] ... income=30 [/side] There is a macro to do the same thing with different difficulty levels too: [side] ... # EASY=21, MEDIUM=32, HARD=43 {INCOME 21 32 43} [/side] The sides will have ...

You could decrease the starting gold to almost nothing and greatly increase the income per turn.

Re: [mainline] Melee "marksman"

it doesn't really solve the problem for drake breath I don't see the problem with drake breath. Presumably, some of the drakes are better at aiming their flames, making them harder to dodge. Marksman means good at aiming, so it seems to work just fine to me. However, we could also just put marksman...

Re: [mainline] Melee "marksman"

Nothing discussed is as good as "marksman" for ranged. What would be the problem with having two terms? Marksman for ranged, and accuracy or whatever for melee? The help page could list both. marksman (ranged) / accuracy (melee) When used offensively, this attack always has at least a 60% chance to ...

Re: Stupid Questions (see last post)

Would that require setting for every unit individually? If you meant for every unit type , then yes. You are changing the types after all. Is there a way to do it without overriding every stock mage unit? You could write a macro with a recruit event and put it in all your scenarios. The event would...

Re: Female Wesnoth - Fencer

You can have pony tail and still keep your bang on the forehead. I guess you're right, but most of her hair still points back. but that would make it practically the same hairstyle as the female mage Actually, the female mages' ponytails don't look quite right either, and I never noticed until I lo...

I would like to have a single overview page listing all
campaigns with a short description
http://add-ons.wesnoth.org/
The different versions of BfW are on separate pages, but otherwise it is pretty much what you asked for. In the list view, hover over the icon to see the author's description.

Re: Female Wesnoth - Fencer

The shape of the ponytail is good, but the rest of her hair should not look like it is hanging down any more. The locks of hair need to point back towards the ponytail.
