Re: Promised Land: Goblin Campaign

TSI: I was very happy with the color for the coat actually :). Besides I was afraid saturating it down would all lead to similar colors and some variety is always good. Kenpachi: Yes you are right - I enlarged his right hand a bit, but you should also keep in mind that it's further back from the vie...

Re: Promised Land: Goblin Campaign

Hi, I have started working on the wolf rider. I'm posting it with the flats. I wanted to dress him with somewhat colorful and fancy attire (happy joy). That's because I like to see goblins putting on garments raided from human settlements (their previous owners deftly discharged of course  ...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Hello, I wanted to finish shading it, and couldn't wait hearing back from you. Oh well, looks ok to me I guess and I hope you'll like it as well. As I'm still in wesnoth portrait mode and considering I have some time, I can give Kyoko a go. Feel free to give me some further character description of ...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Hello, Was really busy with another project that I could no longer postpone, sorry about that. Valkier: many thanks for your kindness :) Jacques_Foi: I beefed the handle of the sword a tad, the blade part would take some work though so I left it as it is and well... Seems ok to me honestly so...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Yes you are right. His attire seems to be more suited to court then the desert, so I will think of the intermediate Jacques then, which will be next portrait. Meanwhile I gave the second one a blade, promoting him to the commanding Jacques , the final incarnation. I know you wish to see the bow stra...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Yes, I am back on track Jacques. Now I have the revised version of young Jacques, and a shading update on his second incarnation. Revision for the young Jacques: I tried to convert his sword to a knife. Taking his current pose into account, the only trick for such I could come up with was to shrink ...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Hello, I am finally back, with a shading update on young Jacques. So far looks good to me, though I will take into account any c&cs for the final version.

Re: A rough life - portraits

Sure. I was hoping to finish the both portraits these days before I leave for 2 months, but couldn't. So.. Will be back for them once I conclude a stupid mandatory military service. Till then ;)

Re: A rough life - portraits

Semi flats (linearts to be improved) for young and determined Jacques (lvl2 one). Decided to make him a redhead so that I can have better chances of duplicating his facial features :) Actually I didn't even really work on faces at this point - that I'll do while shading.

Re: A rough life - portraits

Allright, worked on face, cleared contour lines and defined darker shadows, saturated down his robe so that he's not so glowy. I call it finished then :)

Re: A rough life - portraits

Aura: Reason I made it darker is to give the hammer a glowing look.. I know it could have been done in a better way like using some of Kitty's tricks, but umm, I guess I was lazy to look at them  Will do Jacques. Didn't use any references for him, and the beard also worries me a bit, shouldn't...

Re: A rough life - portraits

Well, thanks guys, took most of the c&cs into account: Enlarged hands and the head (his upper body is 2 heads tall now). Also I decided to have him a lavender cloak. That's because in medieval times purple dyes were quite costly to produce so that only really rich or royal folks could afford the...

Re: A rough life - portraits

And, I finally have something for King Bombasan. As I'm posting this I noticed I should rather have leveled the upper arm plates - will fix that while shading - ; apart from that I hope it looks ok.

Re: A rough life - portraits

Allright, that was some sort of a break.. Just when you announced the campaign was available I got it and played a bit. There were some problems with portraits back then however. Goblin portraits had a funny looking pixelized white aura. So I'm attaching clean versions, sorry about that. Also, Pollo...

Re: Art for Bad Moon Rising, again

Hello. Good work shading the shoulder guards. However I think a larger brush would help you for shading the chest plates, because atm it resembles a blackboard ;) Also, her right arm is very long, it looks like she can extend her fingers below her kneecaps. You should have them so that they can exte...
