Re: TAM artwork
Hello all, Been sort of busy, but fortunately managed to find some time/motivation for the remaining portraits. I decided to rework on Alderot and Athena portraits. Here comes the WIP on linework. I was thinking to swap the veil surrounding her figure with watery flow, and I still am, though technic...

Re: Valkiers portraits: It's like I can touch you!
hey, thumbs up for Rakshas portrait. One small thing I'd like to warn you about though, it's a very easy fix anyway. The axe and his right shoulder pad make a tangent, so I guess either cropping the axe or making it a bit bigger in size should fix the problem.

Re: TAM artwork
Thank you all! I agree with all of the C&Cs heartily. Taking them into account I tried to make some corrections. I revised the hair for Renaldo and Hilldon, put a tiny hairline for Marko, reworked the pattern+shading for Renaldo. Bob: I am actually quite fond of the face of Renaldo as it is. Giv...

Re: TAM artwork
Thanks Tet. Yeah definitely there's a difference because I don't yet have a systematic shading method and usually end up dribbling my wacom pen over the tablet :) And of course I keep my old artwork, and they are also always available to whomever as long as they bother themselves digging those from ...

Re: TAM artwork
Thank you TSI. Yes I am aware of that, though the reference I used for the armor had somewhat a similar lightsource (aka flashlight! :P), and I didn't see any harm executing something parallel to what I see. I did the shading for Renaldo. I am.. well, dubious about the way I shaded the pattern of hi...

Re: TAM artwork
Hello all, Gaddon shaded. I'll continue with Renaldo. Natasiel: I am... FLATTERED! :) I will certainly take your comments into consideration. I may give Hugo a punkish look as you guys have suggested. For the ogre, I posted that as part of a conceptual investigation - when I look at it now I can tel...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness
Just a quick thumbs up for your great work. The detail and crispiness of your linework always amazes me!
On another note, I don't see anything wrong with Drogan portrait - the way arms are positioned and scaled actually gives a nice depth to the figure.

Re: TAM artwork
Frogger: You mean they are all brooding sort? :) haha good point, haven't noticed that honestly. Let's also keep in mind that these are just flats though, and I usually spend some considerable time further playing on my linework while shading, so I'm hoping even under such a state of affairs they wi...

Re: TAM artwork
*cough cough* that's supposed to be Hilldon, the no good scoundrel, not a peasant... but thanks a lot for the encouragement jb! :) I'm putting the flats for Marko and Alderot. Bob said Alderot should be old, and this is as old as I could dare to go (something 50s?), as I thought he should still be o...

Re: TAM artwork
Gah.. I wish I had bothered myself reading about all these, now my ogres seem so out of place... thanks a lot though johndh. :) I decided to work on a couple of more flats, for Renaldo and Hilldon, respectively (yay, movies turn out to be such great source of reference! My models for both of these w...

Re: TAM artwork
Been busy... now I'm back :) kitty: thanks :) and yes, I agree on your overall observation on hands, will try to do that. FAAB: I see. Honestly I have no idea what we mean by ogres in Wesnoth. I suspect they are a species of sorts, though their cultural traits etc hasn't been elaborated much by the ...

Re: TAM artwork
That's a great idea FAAB! Frogger: I wasn't done with shading. But I can't agree more, my anatomical knowledge is far from good and that reflects to shading no matter what :( Though it's my hope what I'm posting below is somewhat adressing the flatness you mention. Oh and this one I will call finish...

Re: TAM artwork
some preliminary shading on Mocco+anatomical fixes (his right upper arm was so long.. !) edit: oh and I'm still open to any creative designs for Mocco's tattoo, otherwise.. I will go for something lame as I'm very ignorant about them (for those that do not know the campaign, he's a jailer on an isla...

Re: TAM artwork
Aha, here comes Mocco, flats.
I wish to put a tattoo on his right forearm, any suggestions?
Till then, I'll start something for the local fat milita leader (gah.. so sad I can't check their names).
