Re: Lua question

I forgot to put a comma between the two T tables. I've edited the code in my post. Try it again.

Re: Lua question

The 'x,y = f.x,y' is illegal. You would have to put in each element separately. I can post an example later. EDIT: Note that it's easier to put this all into a separate Lua file. It's a pain to edit Lua within WML. I do not have 1.9 installed, so this code is very untested. I'm sure there ...

Re: TCG Era 1.3.0

@wose37: If I was going to add any more eras, I would not add Ageless Era. If I add a dependency, I'm basically obligated to include all units from that era to make it worth the extra download, and Ageless Era is just too huge for that. Well, I've been away for a while, but I found a serious issue I...

They're both on the 1.8 server. The temporary deletion method is fine with me.

Lost my .pbl files

I've done one of the dumbest things possible. I recently reinstalled my OS, and I seem to have deleted the .pbl files for my 3 add-ons. I keep the actual add-ons in Mercurial repositories and I managed to remember the passphrase for one of them. The ones that I've lost access to are Luther_Lua_Pack ...

Re: RPG Creation Kit

Found a bug: Outcast and Outcast Lady both advance into the Wesfolk line. This causes the scenario to crash when they try to advance, since those units are only available in tRoW.

Re: Rewriting macros as tags

I was under the impression that WML authors can add whatever data they want to a unit. Is there something else I need to read up on?

Re: Rewriting macros as tags

I've submitted a patch for modify_unit, I hope you weren't working on it... I've looked into modify_unit, and it looks like the hardest part would be deciding exactly how this tag should behave. The examples I've seen imply that the user's code should simply overwrite what's already in the unit. Th...

Can't change language

I need to change the language to make sure my add-on is displaying translated unit types correctly. When I click "Languages", it always highlights my last choice, but I never see any change in language. I'm running 1.8.3+svn (45235M) on Trisquel 3.5. It worked fine a few months ago under U...

I forgot to ask earlier: Do I have to submit each tag as a separate patch?

Also, any tips on how to test new tags as I write them?

And BTW, I also want to work on some of the tags in FutureWML.

Re: Rewriting macros as tags

Wow, good response! Here's my plan so far: I'll start by making an add-on for 1.9. I'll also try to maintain a version for 1.8. If I need to make patches, I'll copy stuff from the add-on. I'll work on the more complex macros first, as Zookeeper suggested, since they're more in demand. I'll also cons...

Rewriting macros as tags

I'd like to go through all the mainline macros that can be used in events and rewrite them in Lua as action tags. I think tags are easier to read than macros, and Lua makes it easy to replace them. I'd like some feedback as to how I might approach this project. I could do one of the following things...

Re: Announcing Elvish Pillager's Popular Demand Era!

Here's one: Make a Magical Girl faction that only includes units like Elvish Shamans, Mermaid Initiates, and female Mages and Dark Adepts. Maybe throw in some of the sexier units from the mainline campaigns, like Princess. Although that might violate rule #1. They'd be invisible to anyone who doesn'...

Re: Sapient's MP Map Pack (v3 released)

I see you have a credits.txt and a changelog.txt, which I totally did not notice before. Thank you for updating those for me. About the version number: At http://addons.wesnoth.org/1.4/ , the version number is "v.2". I must have interpreted that as 0.2, which is why my update was la...
