Re: TCG Era

You need to use MP safe random functions. http://wiki.wesnoth.org/InternalActionsWML see [set_variable] random vs rand The problem was that I used Lua's math.random to get the random numbers. After seeing your post, I realized I could fire a set_variable tag to get the MP-safe rand. I tested it thi...

TCG Era 1.3.0

For those of you who think that there's not enough luck involved in Wesnoth, that the game is just too deterministic, I bring you the TCG Era, where not only is combat random, but so are the units you get! Current version is 1.3.0. Hopefully fixed some OOS errors. In this era, each player ...

Sapient's MP map pack

I've resurrected an old map pack by Sapient from Wesnoth 1.4. I really enjoyed playing the Northerner's RPG back in the day, so I decided to update the whole pack for 1.8. It's available on the 1.7.11/1.8beta add-on server. It's NOT compatible with 1.6. I've played through all the scenarios and fixe...

Chasm/castle transition problem

There seems to be a problem with the transitional graphics between chasm and most castle tiles. See the attached map to see what I mean. The details are at: https://gna.org/bugs/index.php?14429 I believe this directly effects the AOI scenario 5. This map has a keep surrounded by void. It would look ...

Re: Wesnoth 1.6.5

Why don't you want to do any more maintenance versions? Does this mean that 1.7 is almost ready to go beta? :P

Question about scons and uninstall

I use Ubuntu and I typically install Wesnoth from source. Since 1.5 reached beta, I've been using scons. This time around, I deleted my 1.5.13 directory, but I forgot to uninstall. I tried going into the 1.5.14 directory and typing 'sudo scons uninstall', but it only did the configure stuff without ...

How do you use textdomain?

I decided to try to write a campaign just to see if I could do it. Unfortunately, the wiki WML pages seem very out-of-date. What's the modern (1.4) way to use textdomain? Is it just a tag? Does it have to be in all scenario files, or just _main.cfg? I might be asking a lot of questions here. Thanks ...

Why were the traits changed?

I noticed in the changelog that resilient, quick, and healthy were all changed. I'm curious as to why. Can someone please tell me where these changes were discussed? I've done numerous searches and I only get stuff dealing with pre-1.2 changes.

Thanks in advance...
