Just my comment on the use of walking corpses. I do frequently when I play undead buy over the course of the game 2-3 walking corpses depending on my enemy and the map. I keep them behind the skelotons to help gaurd villages and protect the adepts. But when an enemy who is not on village or highly d...

I like the Graveyard though I think that to implement it the way I would would probably slow down the game a little. My personal veiw of it would be that for each unit a record of enemys slain (by quantity of type) and the map it died in are recorded. After the campain the option of veiwing the grav...

I think that my ideas of games that kids that age (thinking about it he must have been younger than he looks because my brother is olny 10) is probably a little screwy because of my family enviorment. My brother as I mentioned is 10 and can beat the wesnoth AI with realative ease. My sisters althoug...

Valid Point. Couple things I think that Defldor is a valid argument since he is part of the HTTT and starts at his max lvl. I still think that 10 hp is too much for one advancment. Though I suppose it would add a new stratagy to wesnoth. I.E. Get a set of about 15 lvled up units and improve them for...

Short Story

I think this might amuse some of the people on this forum and I am bored so I thought I might share it. Yesterday there was a kid (about 12 years old) at school who needed a place to stay after school because his partents would be home late and they did not trust him to keep out of trouble on his ow...

And how do you think that either of your two suggestions will not make supper units?? Most of the time AMLA happen in campains where you have along time to lvl up each unit. Picture if everytime defldor lvled up he got an additional lightling strike or 10 extra HP by bay of perals he could already b...

I don't think that works... Most villages that are "Close Together" are within 7 or 8 hexes of each other in which case a scout could probably get from one to the other and the additonal move dose not matter much. If they are far apart and meant to be gotten in two turns the additional move probably...

I am not a expert (I've olny been playing for 6 months) but here's my opinion griffin riders for me get classafied as combat capable scout this dose not mean that they are a front line unit. But unlike most other scouts (excpet horseman) they had the ability to do alot of damage when not in numbers....

I am back to thinking that it was probably a memory problem bcause when I retryed the experement I could load and play the turn 2 autosave then end my turn w/o it crashing but when I tryed it for the recent one (with much more units) It crashed I am still posting map. I would also post the save howe...

I had not noticed the healthy trait before. However my trait seams diffrent the healthy trait apparently increases the healing for resting. My proposed trait was that that unit was effectivly resting all the time (even when fighting).
It would be nice to get feedback on some of the other ideas

Another trait brainstorming topic

I had some ideas for trains (not abilitys) that might be implementable. I don't expect any of them to be added in, however I think more veriety in traits might add intrest. 1) Skilled, simply adds 5% to every chance to hit 2) Relaxed, unit gets the rested healing bonus every turn: kind of a weird id...

Something causes a crash

Before I start I am running Wesnoth 1.2.1 on MacOSX4.8 This is a strange problem... I made a map for my own enjoyment big map 6 players designed to be something of a campain on one map to be played as FFA against a bunch of comps with lots of gold. I could play it over several sessions as a way of p...

I am thinking maybe I was not clear on what I wanted. What I was asking was if you saw any gameplay problems with it. Or factional imbalances.
While I am at it do you know a way to set the default gold per player to 125 rather than 100.

map I've been working on

Hello I've been playing wesnoth for a few months lurked on the forums abit, but I never really had a reason to post before. Anyhow I made this map I play tested it online for a bit and someone told me to get either Doc Patterson to vet it. I have made some changes to it since then but I figured I ou...
