Re: cave path

Thanks! But sorry, don't know what you mean. I see no need for that. If you look closely, you see that the transitions of the cave floor tiles gets drawn over the path tile and this also happens with grassland. You only need transitions of the path for water tiles, but who wants to build this cave p...

Re: cave path

I added two new different "plain" tiles and made it so, that some of the variations, with puddles and dirt, are based on the new ones too. Concerning the frequency of each tile, here is the part of _final.cfg that deals on this issue. {TERRAIN_BASE_PROB Rc cave/path9 3} {TERRAIN_BASE_PROB Rc cave/pa...

Re: cave path

You might want to consider adding a few more "plain" tiles
As i consider this, it seems to be inescapable. Increasing the frequency of the "plain" tiles by WML only, would be not so good. It would look monotone and a regular scheme would slightly be visible.
So i'll do some more plain tiles.

Re: cave path

Made it better this time, didn't i? If this path deserves one or two variations, i'll go for them.

P.S.:You'll have to click on the image, to see it in full size.

cave path

Someone mentioned a cave path in the chasm bridge thread 8)
Here is an attempt of it. This one needs a bit polishing, but i just wanted to ask if such a path make sense at all? I think the lighter bridge fits better then the dark one.

Somehow the Transitions get not drawn right for the chasm bridges in two positions. There is no south-east transition in the yellow circles, but it should be there. And in the white circles the south-west transition should not get drawn as long as the bridge is in the corner, that means as long as t...

I have changed the highlights and the colors to fit better with the ground tile. And also changed the north transitions a bit.

@Kestenvarn
Do you mean they should not hang in the air, like this? (this is a quick edit, only for demonstration)

If there are many bridges on a few hexes, then they look a bit to bright indeed. I'll trie to change that. And for multitile-bridges, i don't know how this should work. If you build the bridge over three tiles, you can not use theses sprites for the outside tiles, they have to be different, because ...

There seems to be a wish of terrain artists (or maybe it's just me who want's to have it easier) don't wanna mess around with WML of having a simple Option in the Editor for example: Create new tile -> Copy from existing tile or choose some way the new tile should look like (multihex, castle, bridge...
