The other option would be to use the new gui2 theming[1] capabilities.
This is still a work in progress project, but in the end it will allow you
to change how most parts of the gui look.

I like the basic design of the load bar and see no real problems to implement the item and I would like to use it for the gui2 project I'm working on. I'm quite sure I've seen a FR for it before, but can't find it at the moment.

It's a feature which I've planned for the gui2 titlescreen not sure however when
I get around that part.

Another developer fixed the issue so should be fixed in 1.7.14.

If you run into more right to left problems please let us know,
preferably with a screenshot.

I can't remember having troubles with the speed of the damage calculation.
(But I can't remember whether it was too slow before Rusty changed it.)

However BomSite filed a FR [1] and it is and was on my todo list, but no idea
when I get around to implement it.

I think this idea has some merits, best file a feature request at bugs.wesnoth.org.
I'm not sure when I find time to look at it since I've a lot of things still to do.

I noticed that my changes to the lobby seem to cause redraw glitches and some
parts not properly being redrawn. This will be fixed in the next release.

I am currently using boost 1.41. Arch never used 1.40, it went straight from 1.39 to 1.41. The newer Wesnoth package (1.6.5-2) forces the boost version to be greater than or equal to 1.41, a rare thing to do in Arch packages, so perhaps the issues with 1.40 have been fixed in 1.41? No idea why arch...

Boost 1.41 seems to have a problem with the gzip filter [1].
Are you using boost 1.41 and if yes can you try to downgrade to 1.40?

When posting a bug please mention in which Wesnoth version it happened.

Also please file bugs in our bug tracker so they won't get forgotten.

I've fixed several sizing issues after 1.7.9 so the problems might be fixed in 1.7.10.

@doofus-01 I did my tests which worked before only with the game interface.
I assume you tested tsr's fix with the test PBL campaign, since your addons
still don't have the field set.

I'll commit tsr's fix in a few minutes, so it will be in the next release.
