- It's rather long for one Wiki page at the moment. perhaps you could consider breaking it into multiple Wiki pages. This would also allow more room for growth. - Perhaps you could add images to make it easier to understand. Length: The length is a product of irrevenant having used transclusion to ...

Well, I've been tinkering away at the manual and it has changed somewhat. This has involved changes to the Getting Started Guide and the 'Manual'. It is still a work in progress but comments would be better now than later. So, if you have a chance, have a look at the Improved Manual and either add y...

Re: Scenario Review: (HTTT) Test of the Clans
(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? Medium, version 1.0.2 (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? 10 - I didn't have enough gold so was in no position to succeed. Assuming I had more gold I would still rate it as difficult because of the overwhelmingly ...

Actually, now that you mention backstab I think that this feature might be a good use for it. I never had much success with backstabbing units because they couldn't really take the retalliation when they were backstabbing. If, however, they could backstab without retalliation that would make it an i...

I woiuld not spend a lot of time working on the description of Fog of War and visibility at the moment. As soon as I get back to having my computer to be able to compile wesnoth, I plan on testing some significant changes to the way it works. No probs. Just be sure to drop a note into the manual wh...

As for delayed shroud... When you move a unit with fog on, you can't undo moves. With delayed reveal, I think you're able to undo moves because the exposure of new terrain is 'delayed'. I think that's what it is... I haven't really tested with it all that much. That's pretty much it. Given that und...

Is there a section in the improved manual that discusses fog of war and how movement is tied to it? I don't think so. Indeed, I don't think Shroud or Fog of War are really explained anywhere in the documentation and this is an omission that should be remedied. (For example, what is this delay shrou...

It's good for newcomers because it doesn't flood them with information, half of which they won't be needing for a long, long time. Oh, I don't know about that. I'm a newcomer and it's not good for me. I want information when I'm first playing a game. I imagine that many others would feel similarly....

This ties in with that really old topic of mine about 'where does it say lvl 0 has no zoc'.... In the Game Manual. But it may not have been the most obvious. Given this, work is underway to renovate the manual. Feel free to contribute at the Improved Manual . We now return you to your regularly sch...

Help improve the manual
Following discussion in another thread , a copy of the Game Manual has been opened up for editing and improvement. I believe that Dave is looking to organise some responsible management (I am not it); in the meantime there is nothing stopping people from making contributions and hoping the wiki proc...

Skippy, try implementing your changes directly to the wiki. Thanks for your desire to help make the game better. If this works for you, then please improve to your heart's content. They're in train. I'll do more over the weekend. It seems to me that the talk page of the wiki may be the best place f...
