Thanks. That brought me a bit closer.

I may decide I can get away with fudging it a bit by applying a similar overlay to the cavewall.

If I use black at 50% transparent nobody will notice.

In Story of the Wose, sqautting on the leader spawn hex where that hex is a keep is impossible.

If you manage to get there first in the one scenario where you can, the leader will displace your unit instead of the other way around.

Already tried that way. If I get the layering wrong the result is bad enough to be worth removing.

For allied AI leaders I prefer Master at Arms -- that unit has a knack for getting itself out of a dangerous situation.

The only particular thing about this I found is it is something of an annoyance to be unable to look over deep water, lava, or chasm to see the terrain on the other side.
