Usually the only recalls I make for this level are healers. The big gap on your recall list: no white mages, no Druids or Shydes. If I were you I'd go back a few levels and focus on leveling up some healers. Working with what you've got: I'd say recall one Arch Mage (ideally a Quick one) for a bit o...

1.1.1 bug: The Invisible Unit bug, which seems to affect an awful lot of units in campaigns upgraded to 1.1.1, affects enemy ships. This isn't really a big issue in gameplay - since the turn-based setup makes it such that if you can see a ship, it's going to catch you next turn - nonetheless, annoyi...

Magellan was trying to sail around the globe, and he did. No he didn't! He died somewhere in the Pacific. (Although he did get further west than the furthest east he had gone on previous voyages, so he did get to all latitudes of globe.) Juan Sebastian Elcano took over from there. ;) Died in the Ph...

I have put the newly inaccessable units images and .cfgs in the IoA folder, but there is a problem, I connot upload the new version as I am stuck at school (for the next three weeks, depending on weather I can get home on some of the Sundays) and their firewall blocks the campaign server  Sin...

I'd say the key to this one is playing defensively. Don't really advance, hold your ground, cycle your wounded units back frequently , have a reserve to fill gaps in the line, and be prepared to lose a few units. It really depends on your recall list. If you've been paying attention to levelling, a...

However, there are now some invisible units - notably Wolf, and all the recruitable units except the Henchman. Damn  I'll try to fix this today (and probably release another version because some of the scenarios don't work, but I have fixed that already (movement of the princess, etc) This se...

ps Mustelid. i just used IoA on 1.1.1, and the problem seems to have gone away, but only using Reth (haven't tested the others because my savefiles don't work for the above reason, so I have only done the first mission to test this) Okay... redownloaded everything, and the ranged bug seems to be go...

I dunno if you're upgrading this for 1.1.1, but: the third level (the one with the slaves overrunning the mansion) is painfully difficult now that Ghosts have drain. With no good defensive terrain, no decent missile attacks and no healpoints, an occasional Ghost can wreak utter havoc. [edit: okay, a...

This is a general issue with old campaigns and 1.1.1 - recall-list tampering seems to work very erratically. Kapou'e in SotBE, Owaec in EI, Black the Red and his outlaws in Saving Elensefar... I think the thing to do is assume that a campaign won't be reliable in 1.1.1 unless it's explicitly been up...

I'm inclined to agree with zookeeper - the Barrier with no offensive (and not-great defensive) attacks, with very low xp, is a much more tactically interesting unit. I'd leave them like that (at least, unless they prove to be utterly feeble in playtesting - but wait until then).

One thing I noticed when playing Valley of Death - always try to kill off any injured WCs first, even if you can kill full-health ones with one unit at no risk (e.g. with ranged). Never attack a WC if there's a reasonable chance that it won't be dead by the end of your turn. An already-injured WC is...

LUCKILY it does not happen that often, and as JW pointed out, it occurs for all players equally. Actually, a basic understanding of how randomness works will make it clear that this isn't true - given a sufficiently large population of players and complete randomness, the total luck of each will fi...

I think the basic idea's good, but agree that it'd work better if Automata were separately recruitable. I'm also not sure if there's any compelling reason why one Cabalist shouldn't run multiple Automata. It'd also make sense if Automata couldn't level, but the Cabalist's levelling mostly improved t...

Even if not currently possible, this is definitely a good idea. The first think I would do with it is give the Ghosts a trait or two... not sure what balancing effects it would have, but it makes sense. Ghosts do have personalities. They have personalities as it is. Annoying personalities. Can you ...
