Re: Fungus terrain bug
It's good that the fungus issue is not forgotten. Do you have any plans to solve it? Even if you consider that it is technically not a bug, the user experience looks like it is a bug. If it's possible to improve the visual aspect to make the functionality clearer to the player and less likely to tr...

Re: Fungus terrain bug
Fungus transition in 1.12 doesn't look like a planned change and it is much later than forest transition. Depends what you mean by planned or why that matters. It certainly was no bug. You can read the irc logs from the day that this change was made, but if I remember correctly we were motivated to...

Re: Cannot connect to the official MP server
The steam version works just the same. I cannot find any connection from the IP you used to connect to the forum in the server logs of the add-on and mp servers. So as EarthCake mentioned it's an issue with your connection. Are you behind some firewall or so? It seems odd that you can connect to the...

Re: Fungus terrain bug
I performed some investigation and as I understand forest was gradually moved from single terrain to always mixed terrain. I think developers forgot to make the same transition for the fungus terrain. Kinda weird conclusion since you posted a link to a discussion that shows that it was moved to a m...

Re: Android lan/wesnothd
You need to enter the IP of the device that runs wesnothd. It‘s possible the android port does not contain wesnothd.

https://launchpad.net/~vincent-c/+archi ... /+packages If you mean that ppa then it does contain the wesnoth-1.14-server package.

Re: [interface] Notifying players when there are add-on updates available.
I think a note that an update might non-obviously break existing saves (on loading an old save and/or on update) is the most we can reasonably do. Figuring out what changes break saves is very much non-trivial. I wouldn’t expect every addon author to be able to recognize all the ways that can happen...

Re: [interface] Notifying players when there are add-on updates available.
Wesnoth would have to automatically connect to the (last used or so) addon server which people might not like though this could be controlled by a preference setting. Sounds like a good idea to me.

You as the observer may get out of sync but you should not be able to change anything for the players.

Re: Main Factions Balance
My goal has never been to make Ladder Era become the new default. In fact I know it never will because it would affect SP Campaigns too much and some of the Lore. The whole idea of the Ladder Era was conceived because of this. Campaign/scenario balance has no bearing on the default era balancing at...

Looks like a network issue to me. They logged on to the mp server and disconnected a while later.

Re: Battle for wesnoth.... ascii terminal
Note that you may already be able to run wesnoth in a terminal since SDL has an ASCII art video driver: https://wiki.libsdl.org/FAQUsingSDL (Not that I'd expect that to be a fun experience.

Re: Main Factions Balance
Many changes were made to mainline units that the competitive players did not like. Cavalry movement, Orc Archer buff, Footpad nerf, etc. Did those competitive players voice their opinion when those changes were discussed? (Here for example: https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=32430...
