2 poachers will kill a ghost during any time of day usually. Granted they cost 40% more (but this is not a big deal because even 3 ghosts vs 4 poachers usually equals 1 or 2 dead poachers one wounded poacher and 3 dead ghosts. Save your gold. Recruiting castles of WC's to defend your castle is only effective if you've already lost the game. Still, it's not that beneficial to give holy to a unit that has it already. Though the quoted post doesn't make sense; knights don't advance to lancers.
