Those histograms are a great improvement, although I don't know why chance to remain unscathed differs from chance to be hit zero times, unless the rounding is doctored so the histogram adds up. Does "chance to be hit zero times" factor in the possibility of a unit eliminating the other before it g...

I've often cursed my bad luck (the mage missed ALL THREE TIMES!? WHY?), but when I check the damage dealt and taken it's usually very close to average. It's not a glitch in the game, but rather in human perception. Bad luck is much more memorable than good luck, and we tend to take it for granted wh...

I prefer using mages to nuke assassins in difficult terrain over hoping that the horseman doesn't miss twice, if I can protect and heal the mage next turn. Otherwise, though, it's true that the mage doesn't do any better than the bowman or elvish archer.

[quote="Baufo"But personally I always choose the Lancer, especially in MP games, because of his greater number of strikes not because he does more basic damage. (2 Strikes is always a question of good luck IMHO).[/quote] I actually prefer two strikes (with higher damage each hit) to three in a charg...

Alas, not even 70% defense can stand up to the fickle RN God. :P

Seriously, I have horrible luck shooting dragoons. That cursed crossbow seems to hit every time. (At least, in the last three rebel v. loyalist games I've played.)

Don't depend on it. In my experience, more often than not Owaec will bash some undead and then go charging out to fight himself and get slaughtered.

I have two minor questions about this scenario.
1. Why is Minister Hylas suddenly a hero, when his defeat never led to loss before? What if he had died earlier?
2. Why is the lich named "Mal Feras" instead of "Mal M'Brin?"

This is 1.1.2a, so I suppose it might have been fixed by now.

Mages are crucial for Loyalists or Rebels to fight dwarves. Unless, y'know, the dwarf player doesn't use mountains for some reason. Spearmen and elvish fighters seem better-suited to guard mages than the HI or woses to guard mages, since they can actually move quickly enough to do it. The impact dam...

They might be easier to level than scouts (I think they're about the same), but having a druid is more important than having a rider.

I suppose it's possible if you lure the royal guards away from Li'sar with some wounded units, then teleport in a bunch of silver mages for the kill. It'd be quite difficult to setup, though.

You'll need way more than 100 gold to beat Test of the Clan. Go back and replay a few levels.

This thread is funny. :D

Yeah, impact is good enough to deal with most undead. Knalgans still die against ghosts, though.
