The biggest problem I see is that when displaying numbers, the description should come to their left, not right. (ie, it currently displays "gold 16" instead of "16 gold"). (from the last screenshot, but that's without fribidi, so I don't know how it would normally appear). Yogi ...

Why Python or Lua? Why not a generic I/O interface? ie, the game can run and open a pipe to any executable and then communicate with it, allowing AIs in any language - even an interpreted language can easily be used (to clarify the use of 'executable') with a batch file or shell script. We'd just ne...

well, I'd love to join, but I'm working on a powerbook at the moment and never even touched XCode. I might have some luck, but I think I'll just be waiting for 1.0 or August 29, when I get my 'real' machine.

well, I support the concept of fogless games, but Noy did say (and I have to agree) that all caps is quite annoying. Therefore, (and since my name is just as short as the word fog, which makes fitting 'fogless' or something into it seem quite stupid) I'll be playing as 'ryn' but preferring non-foggy...

Well, unfortunately, I cannot help you much, but I can say that I would most certainly support such code; it appears as though Hebrew cannot be typed either, which would make a translation somewhat pointless (chatting is important).

just download an xdelta. Shouldn't be all that hard. It'll take far less than 9 hours, and will do exactly what you want.

All joking aside, this discussion is not only insane but also almost funny.

Well, scott, I'm constantly being moved around by my parents (we're flying to Israel in 6 days and all that) but I'm working on it, and deterministic 0.9.3 or at least 0.9.1 will soon be on its way. Also, I'll have to postpone x86 versions to mid-September, because that's when I'm getting my AMD (it...

It's an interesting experience, sort of like riding a donkey with humps. Also, cooking fires are burnt over camel poop to this day. Oh ...

So, who's with me?

 :P

edit: oh yeah, I wrote this after eating about a liter of walnuts (about 2 minutes ago)
don't try it, walnuts are nasty. Also, this is intended to be somewhat amusing.

Really, scott? what's your platform? :D If anyone would play, I'd gladly compile Psyklop's patches for Windows, Linux (x86), and Mac OS X (though I only have 10.4, running on a new laptop) edit: <off topic> wouldn't it be interesting to test different AIs by how good they are at deterministic mode? ...
