The genre (DotX) kinda died down in the last couple of years, I never see anyone playing it - which is weird, because it was being outright spammed the last time I retired.

The bug with Absorb Bat/Devour Soul is not his fault. Do not use either of those skills if you play with Fog, because it causes a Wesnoth bug (which he has already reported). It is why I do not play this era with Fog. Ghosts are underpowered in this era, but that is already being discussed. As for o...

After having play-tested it some, I can now conclude that Devour Soul is pretty well balanced now. Not too good, but fitting of a Necro-9 slot. Do adjust the green number output to show actual HP healed, and not (current HP/2) as it does now.

Any map with its own WML (and all Survival maps are) can cause conflicts with this era.

Also, last I checked, casting Devour Soul on your own unit will crash Wesnoth if fog is turned on.

I did spend a lot of time in Necromancy lately, and you're right - Poison Ground is what keeps them viable. Played 0.3.2 all day today, didn't see you online so I'll post my thoughts here: * It was suggested to change the Sphere+2 and Sphere+4 options to say (2 points) and (4 points) rather than (1 point per level) on both - some players found the current form confusing. I think it would be a good change....

Okay, I don't mind. It's one of my favorite map designs, but I have a habit of doing one-shot projects, then moving on to the next. Right now I'm working on Auction, a port of another 1.2.x map of mine. It's almost complete, and then I will move to another map. :mrgreen:
