Re: Donation solicitation rather difficult to notice
I don't have any particularly strong pro or con opinion about the website, but
on my widescreen monitor it seems as if the main design of the homepage caters
more towards small screens. The website has kind of 3x3 parts; left and right
has a ton of empty screen here, and in the middle we have the ...

Blogging about Wesnoth: the big picture?
Hey there folks,
Sometimes I don't pay much attention to wesnoth (e. g. due to reallife) and
then don't quite know what is going on. I can read the forum, which is fine,
but takes time and often does not yield a thorough picture either, as it is a bit
biased.
Would it be possible for wesnoth to ...

Five Faiths RPG
I am in the scenario with the soul eaters or so, the dungeon.
On first try I ran into two undead.
Now as I redid it, I took the pickaxe and went west, then north. I see
a blue exit but it is blocked. I killed all enemies but I still can not
reach the exit. I think I am stuck now.

Re: Cyrillas Great Work
I just played it and almost managed to finish the scenario where three elvish leaders have to be
convinced to switch sides. My army did not progress fast enough and I could not finish that
task before turn 34. I could have replayed, but past turn 10 it was very tedious to go through,

More UI changing options as an extended micro setting
Wesnoth has many options available that a player can change. This is great when it is needed.
Players can customize wesnoth to their preferences - that is, in my opinion, objectively a good
thing when wanted.
One option I would like to have is to make the cursor bigger, specifically, like 2x or 3x ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I am currently playing the campaign again, running wesnoth version 1.19.24.
Interestingly I have a really hard time in the campaign where lethalia, or what's
her name, tries to kill ephraim in the city. Even simple units such as heavy
infantry man, cause insane damage, e. g. 13 damage per hit. So ...

We could really need a multiselect units tool.
With multiselect I mean being able to select more than one unit at the same time.
I would also like to confine the suggestion to only movement. Individual attacks
could and should still be done individually. So this suggestion is solely for group
movement of units, in a "batch-like" manner.

Understandable, but one disadvantage of Discord is that it is private
communication. It kind of is at odds with an open webforum discussion.

Re: Oath of Allegiance [SP Desert People Campaign for 1.18.3]
After many years of not having played it, I recently played it again. It's a really great campaign - not quite as good as my all-time favourite To-Lands-Unknown, but the campaign has many great things. The unique abilities of the heroes are great fun, the wyverns are cool too, story great, artwork a ...

Re: Extra feature giveaway.
What is susfishious? A dead fish?
WML is quite hard to read for me. I wonder whether we could also describe
these data structures via a .yml file. I use simple .yml files, e. g. mostly
a simple Hash. This could work at the least for simple objects (I don't suggest
to use .yml for everything, just ...

[Quick idea] Player-set progression table for units (or at the least heroes)
To simplify this semi-random idea, let me say that I focus here only on hero units. We could focus on all units, but let's keep it simple.
With hero units I mean, e. g. that Delfador mage in the mainline campaign; or Konrad. So, usually units that are strong or useful, and losing them means loss of ...

Re: why do you show me a girl
Interesting. While I personally don't mind, it is indeed strange that a girl is
shown. One could also ask "why not show a dead animal instead" or any other
image people may object to (you can have a range of images different people
may object to). Not that I am one to object to most images per se ...

Re: Hardest campaing ever?
You mean only mainline campaigns? Because some add-ons I feel are much harder.
One of the hardest one to beat for me was in a dungeon where one had to use footpads to
soak up damage (or rather, dodge/evade) from trolls. I was not able to beat it;
other players did.

Re: An initiative for fair gaming
This is a little bit awkward in that many different aspects are grouped together.
For instance, I assume most everyone would assume that games should be interesting, fun - and also not unfair. What is fairness though?
