Well I linked you a piece of code responsible for this mode, just in case you missed it.kurt751 wrote: July 16th, 2026, 10:00 am Besides, before deciding to try it I'd need to know more about how it is biased, i.e. what exactly changes.![]()

Re: Battle music (2 pieces)
Hi!
Well first of all, please use MuseSounds, they've got free sample packs for all of the instruments you've used, and it's integrated with MuseScore (at least >4.0)
As for the composition, it has its ups and downs in my opinion.
The trumpet randomly coming in forte fortissimo to deliver a short ...

Re: I've lost all my hit points at Monte Carlo...
On the other hand, try defeating a lvl3 leader with your lvl1 units when that guy never misses. Still doable, but that would be more of a zerg rush than selecting the best suiting units and terrain to increase your chances and minimizing losses. The only question remains how many shovels of ...

Re: I've lost all my hit points at Monte Carlo...
I can't find the code for calculating the attacker's chance to hit, C++ is beyond me apparently.
But at least the chances that anything is out of order seem to be sufficiently debunked by now...

@kurt751, I really didn't mean to offend you, in case you took it this way.
Those stats in the previous post indicate that both parties were unlucky, but the player less so.
If I'm not mistaken, these stats show the difference between the predicted/average HP damage and the actual one that had ...

Re: I've lost all my hit points at Monte Carlo...
I'm quite sure this is your observation bias and wouldn't mind that at all if it was you that got extremely lucky instead.
Every game consists of dozens of skirmishes, so less likely outcomes are quite probable to surface once in a while.

I think Wesnoth is a perfect platform to demonstrate the butterfly effect - pit two AIs against each other, save the game once they encounter each other in the battle, then reload it twice and observe the effects of different randomness seeds. Even though AIs are completely deterministic (I assume ...

I think that at most it could be added as a guideline for illustrators, but I cannot recall any single image that would contain any writing..

Re: wesnothd
We used to play in LAN by setting up a server from within the game itself - hosting a game is one of the multiplayer options, while the other player joins that server through IP address. I specifically remember not ever launching wesnothd.

Re: Dune Folk
Does that also mean animations and sound effects have been added to dunefolk in the current developement version?
Feel free to try the 1.19 version if you can't wait for 1.20, it's not unplayable.
Dunefolk had sound effects even in 1.18 (in "Default Era with Dunefolk" or something like that ...

Re: Dune Folk
It's already been answered in another thread, but just for completeness, Dunefolk have been added to Default Era in 1.19, which means they will also be available in the next stable release 1.20.

Re: Abandon Discord.
Wesnoth is far older than Discord and never depended on it.
"Of course Discord is the nr1 option" - that's just an opinion.
Speaking of alternatives, IRC is already there and is technologically proven for decades. It's far more suitable than some new, random chat platforms, that may just as well ...

Re: Hi everyone
Hi,
You may be referring to what I think is a feature not a bug: When I used to play cooperative multiplayer games with my ex, I noticed that we only see our moves past the point when they cannot be undone.
Some unit moves can be undo'ed, if they didn't reveal a new part of map or shroud and didn't ...
