Khazg’s history
Im starting a campaign on Khazg Black Tusk, very little is written about him, mainly just that he assembled an army against Dwarven Doors, crushed it after a year, and pushed into Knalga where he was al bushes and killed. This happened some time around Wesnoth’s dark age.

Re: Cyrillas Great Work
Yeah, the most current version I’ve released involves ships that don’t exist in the 1.18 unit list. Hopefully it’s fun if you can play it thoughDensau wrote: September 12th, 2026, 11:54 am Why is it not visible for me in add-ons manager on 1.18.8?
Ah it's only on 1.19 development

Saga of Khazg Black Tusk
I am officially starting a new campaign, featuring the rise and fall of Khazg black tusk, the orc whose conquests laid low Dwarven Doors and brought Knalga to the point of destruction. Planned to be around 11 scenarios told from the perspective of his underling, the assassin Baybars.

Re: In-universe Orthographies
In Cyrillas Great Work the merfolk use Quipus (a South American knot system) at least partially, I put that in feeling a more tactile system might make sense for an underwater race where light would be poor, but that is utterly non-canon

Re: In-universe Orthographies
I like the idea, especially for small bits of environmental text rather than anything the player needs to read. A banner, inscription, sign or old manuscript in an illustration would be enough to suggest different writing traditions.
The bigger issue might be fonts and licensing if real-world ...

Re: Cyrillas Great Work
Has been updated with ships, and some modifications to the balance between Naga and Merfolk fighting. Now, on to my next project on Black Tusk!

Re: Reign of the Great Chief
Ships now integrated into the campaign, they appear largely in the final scenario but appear in other areas. Last couple scenarios have had some modifications, a few other changes here and there.

Re: In-universe Orthographies
Stumbled upon this little tidbit about the lore while translating the Timeline of Wesnoth and it got me thinking — could this kind of thing actually make it into the game?

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Yeah, I believe the way Mech has it set up is that Erlornas is held in prison between AOI and the start of LoW. Then during LoW you free him.
That doesn't fit well with dialogue in scenarios 4 and 5 of the new LoW:
with the dialogue in Kalian Under Attack:

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
I hadn't gotten the impression that LoW was RIGHT after Orcish Incursion, the timeline is written kind of weird and disjointed regarding this time period, it officially says LoW starts in 20, whereas Incursion ends in 9, but in between it describes some of the events in LoW, so I'd always gotten the ...

Re: Reign of the Great Chief
Seems like the lore of the campaign gets stretched, but not entirely broken, by Dalas’ new tale on Orcish Incursion, for now I’m not rewriting the campaign though maybe some day I’ll get a burst of motivation to make some tweaks…At some point I’ll get back to my ship-inclusive rework in the next few ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Just finished, I like the assassination mechanism, I was a bit afraid the leader would have some lich-like magic attack, glad he didn’t. The portal animations were way cooler than mine.

Re: Cyrillas Great Work
I just played it and almost managed to finish the scenario where three elvish leaders have to be
convinced to switch sides. My army did not progress fast enough and I could not finish that
task before turn 34. I could have replayed, but past turn 10 it was very tedious to go through,
with new ...

I sent a message with replay and my commentary, hopefully it came through and is usable.
The AI certainly creates a fascinating back and forth, perhaps my biggest worry is it might be possible to exploit by making some reckless moves to inflict damage right as an enemy retreats based on time of day ...
