Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]
* On the Great Continent - I realize I can walk into battle points. But - this is a new game mechanic! I expect some explanation about what I can and can't do, how time progresses, why I can't attack where I please, why I can't walk through forests, can I be harmed? Does walking around "cost" me ...

Re: Scenario 1: The Elves Besieged
EDIT: I see in the new version you have some control over where to go to next by moving around The Great Continent and selecting your battle. But it when selecting a battle it says "2 turns remaining" wtf - didn't I finish the first scenario fast enough, how could I possibly win in 2 turns! Then I ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Well, imo that problem also applies with this setting, you would think there are multiple gates open at once, and in a long time for there can be such great host. I personally just assume the rest of the orcs that survives flee to the Northland and bides their time. I think it's said somewhere ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Regarding the lore, all this time I always assumed that the orcs in the north came via ships from the Old Continent gradually. I think this revision is the first mention of a portal, right? So I didn't consider about the importance of bridging how the orcs went from being the lackeys of Lich-Lords ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
That would be a nice touch indeed.
Maybe he could even have some physical characteristics because of the fight if he fought him himself, like missing an arm or smth.
Okay, will do.
Also, I know this is supposed to be small campaign, but I think we can try to have more variations. Like in the ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Yeah, I believe the way Mech has it set up is that Erlornas is held in prison between AOI and the start of LoW. Then during LoW you free him.

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]
Hey dalas, i tested the new approach in black water port and man it was strange and seems to be bad (not bad as gameplay) but bad as how it hurt our treasure, i won at negative gold amount :P
Nice, thanks for testing!
And if i can comment about guarding units i would like to do not have that ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Like, wouldn't the gate be heavily guarded considering its significance? Also, Rualsha's army feels a bit lackluster, compared to similar orcish sovereign we have faced in another campaign like Rakshas.
It is heavily guarded! Erlornas had to go through the swamp to bypass most of Rualsha's orcs ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]
In terms of improvements, I'd recommend giving the lich in _The Swamp of Dread_ units other than walking corpses and soulless, as to add a bit more complexity to the scenario. I know we see him using ghosts in TDG, so that could work, since the allies don't have a good counter for them and the ...

Re: An Orcish Incursion, Revised [Mainline Campaign]
Sorry for the delayed response! I did see your message, but was waiting until I'd worked on each point before responding.
Your notes have been very helpful, thank you. Having both a replay and a turn-by-turn commentary is especially nice - that gives me specific areas to target, and lets me re-test ...

Thanks for testing!
I guess the biggest thing I would comment on this point is the AI is quite...interesting. I am very used to the computer rushing you and almost never falling back, there have been multiple moments where I expected an all-out assault, or even then to just walk out and pick off ...
