Kal-Karthan Purification Force

If you have any requests or comments regarding this add-on, just post them...

Re: Modding the WWII Era MP Mod/Addon
Fighter and bomber sprites The problem with aircraft is that they can obscure the movement, negate concealment (they shouldn't see well concealed infantry or AT guns), lay a whole new part of the balance and usually have a very restricted time of operations, they hang around the battlefield for day...

Re: Modding the WWII Era MP Mod/Addon
Rather than new factions, I'd revisit what we have now. There are big discrepancies between certain units (like comparing T-26 to Panzer III or M4A3E8 to T-34-76 as well as damage stats), and there are lacks in terms of gameplay depth regarding melee-range (or here, short-long distance combat) and ...

Re: New campaign: Return from Captivity, for 2 players
We have problems getting to the end within turn limit in The Land Of The Dragons (the 5th scenario) We push both flanks, both with mixture of troops primarily consisting of elvish shamans and guardsdwarves, and every time a battalion of drakes shows up we turtle up in some castle (or in case of brow...

Re: Where in the Wesnoth timeline is their information age?
That makes sense, but I imagine there could still be ways to get there without actually inventing guns. Not that it really matters, since Wesnoth already has guns. They'd just need to spread beyond the dwarven halls, which given the Knalgan Alliance seems like a distinct possibility. Don't forget t...

Re: Where in the Wesnoth timeline is their information age?
…what do guns have to do with an information age? Isn't information age based on the development of digital technology? You don't need guns for that. Mind you, Wesnoth pre-fall already has guns as Pentarctagon said. Efficiency of firearms and gunpowder artillery triggers development of heavy metal ...

Re: Where in the Wesnoth timeline is their information age?
Would be kinda interesting if some mutant dwarf-troll hybrids with cybernetic implants appeared on the surface with assault rifles, infrared visors and tanks about 5 centuries after The Fall.

Re: Knalgan Outlaws' Masks versus Dwarven Taboo
How come they ally themselves the most eagerly with the human faction that mask themselves daily, as seen on Outlaws, Assassins, Trappers, Bandits and their advancements, for a reason not so different at all to the Masked Racist Dwarf Faction ? :hmm: I think it's mostly just for balance in multipla...

Knalgan Outlaws' Masks versus Dwarven Taboo
As far as I know, dwarves consider it against their own honor code to wear masks, as they enable to commit atrocities without repercussions. https://wiki.wesnoth.org/SecretLore "Connected to the social importance of the Loremasters' function of witnesses is that dwarves have a horror of conceal...

I'm not native speaker, so I'm not sure, but I can tell you that I wouldn't remotely understand it as you meant it if it wasn't in this thread.lhybrideur wrote: ↑November 10th, 2020, 2:46 pm Or maybe something like "The late Lisar" ?

Re: Walking Corpses keeping names
I still don't really understand why to point out in the name that it's a corpse. I mean, it's pretty obvious when the unit type is Walking Corpse or Soulless. We may also add "undead" as adjective in front of the name, and in case of Polish at least the only change is going to be "nie...

Re: Walking Corpses keeping names
Though... Conjugation is still going to cause problems when it comes to languages other than English. For example, we, Poles, will conjugate the ones that end with "a", and it may be changed to "y" or "i", depending on the name, but we won't conjugate ones ending with t...
