Funny thing, I had the same idea that night thinking about the PR for a LVL3 Zerk.
Having a special berserk ability that stops when the hitpoints go below a threshold (let's say 10HP) could be interesting, but I do not see it replace the standard berserk.

One of the dev noticed that there is some invalid UTF8 in Scenario 3 of Returnation.
More precisely on line 235 of 03-guow.cfg

Ah yes, my bad, I misread your post.
I though you wrote duplicate definition of macros instead of duplicate definition of terrains.
Although it could still work if the included add-on has macros in it. You could then use an #ifndef looking for one of the add-on macros.

From what I understand from what SkyEnd wrote, the needed change would be to change LVL1 footpad to blade. What you are proposing is the opposite and would therefore have little effect on balance.

What do you mean by "I try to load a game using the custom tiles"? Did you just use the terrain code in your map and that's it? If so, you need to add the terrain code to your add-on to. You can for example create a terrain.cfg file with the [terrain_graphics] and the [terrain_type] of the...

I do not feel strongly about that change as long as the level-ups get the same treatment. As was already said, it would be weird to go club-axe-club. Would changing footpad adn lvl-ups to blade break that much sp content? I think this needs to be tested with the add-on era. My main concern was about...

Was the behavior making AI go to heal itself to villages/healer/rest healing not improved? I remember reading something like that, but I do know neither if it was about default AI nor if it was added in 1.18?

If you guys do not trust Pentarctagon decisions, just make him not the next PM. In the meantime, he is the PM and acts as he thinks is the best for Wesnoth.
