Re: Great Mage Again

In adition, the plague of lava monster seemse like a very nice idea. though it shouldn be called plague, right? or could it be called plague? Well if such a thing existed, it could be called something different, sure. It could also summon a fire-whisp, like the ones in IftU. I mean mudcrawlers have...

Re: Great Mage Again

Edit: BTIsaac has a point - Fire Guardian plague on the fire balls sounds like a cool theme, however, I think this is too powerful. It basically equals a free 19 gold unit every combat turn . The melee attack wouldn't need to be fire or impact - he could simply have two attacks for one of which he ...

Re: Great Mage Again

I'd like to point out that something like a summoning abbility is far too format breaking for mainline. Maybe if the attack is given a special like Plague, but instead of zombies, it makes fire guardians, that would work better. The melee attack should still remain impact, because both attacks being...

Re: Witch Campaign: Mountain Witch

Okay. The ending of Stone City has been really frustrating for me. It appears that after the encounter with Recorder, objectives started becoming extremely unclear. More than once I'm required to move two characters next to each other, as an objective, then after the enemy is defeated, I need to mov...

Re: The Grey Eminence - outline for a hypotetical campaign

Would you mind pointing me to the thread where you brought up the inconsistency of the world map? https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=47935 Right here. Basically, in SoW, the Deathbringer Battalion marches south of Kerlath, crosses the forests and eventually ends up in the sandy wastes....

Re: The Grey Eminence - outline for a hypotetical campaign

SoW ties in to the Dragon Trilogy and from what I heard that is most definetley not compatible with Project Ethea (I haven't played the Dragon Trilogy and I probably won't until someone ports it to 1.14 - but I believe the Fire Ruby has contradicting origins in the two lores). Obviously I would want...

Re: Great Mage Again

I say leadership on a lvl4 is pretty OP on it's own. The name "Legendary mage" sounds good. The fire staff sounds pointless, and I'm not a big fan of redundancy. I believe giving their melee attack a bigger damage boost (up to 11 or 12 instead of 9) and adding something like first strike and making ...

Maybe I imagined it?
Maybe you have it confused with another campaign? Sir Gerrick's portrait is also used for an bad guy in the Soldier of Wesnoth UMC where you mostly play as bandits.

Re: Witch Campaign: Mountain Witch

I recall a discussion regarding some of the terminology. I believe the correct term you were looking for for the "splittings" was "fragments", or "shards". Also, since their names seem to follow the 'noun-verber' template, i think Record Holder and Blood Keeper would be more suitable names instead o...

Re: Carved in Stone 0.8.0 [SP Dwarven Campaign for 1.13]

So I noticed Uthain's portrait changes to what I assume is an outdated version when he gets his bear mount.
I also agree with the comment on the frost tunnels. Unless you know what's coming, it's impossible to win with the turn limit.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

The facial expression in the sprite/faerie is also rather strange, perhaps it's the parted lips, and the lack of eyebrows that's doing it. The chin also is too recessed, I think. Yes, i did notice the chin while i was fixing the rest of the face. I believe it looks good now, but you'd have to take ...

Re: BT attempts portraiting

For the faeries, the shapes (especially the faces) could use a little work. The torso (chest and shoulders(?)/upper arms/biceps(?), something around there) of the nymph and shaman look a little odd to me, might be more due to shading than shape. Same with the chin, it's a little too pointed to be r...

I like the color style of sword dancer images, but it seems that sword goes through neck there.
Yeah, that's probably because of the lower hair layer behind the left shoulder. I'll be posting a fix eventually.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

So here are the Sprite/ Fire Fairy and Fairy Shaman/ Forest Nymph portraits and I'll be honest, I'm not satisfied with the faces, especially the Sprite. that face caused me a whole lot of pain, and I might have to remake it completely if I can't fix what's wrong with it. It looks better when zoomed ...

Re: BT attempts portraiting

I want to make an upload now, even though there are still pictures missing. This is the female variant of the Sword Dancer/ Bladestorm that took me a lot longer than it should have. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of problems with them though.
