... I mostly agree, I acknowledged that it may not be the best idea, many of the reasons you write about can be summed up as "bad writing". But I would say divisiveness is a very subjective reason, in this context it might be valid, but in general, maybe the author doesn't care and wanted the work ...

An author can make whatever story he/she wants, limited only by the quality of writing, application of concepts and internal consistency, an argument that portraying a certain idea=endorsing it is far fetched, the story is fiction so maybe the author wanted to portray a world where certain attitude...

Generally speaking name is right. I wonder what is his MP nick. holius, I could name at least 2 that made a huge change and like 2 that made a smaller but still significant change off the top of my head. However that is probably not what name meant and these were just improvements in default balance...

@The_Gnat i have considered ulf as well, and I came to the conclusion that its less abusable and breaks less important rule of not continuing the combat after all attacks have been fired. An idea to give the falcon the ability to consume moves to attack would fit some fancy mod, but not default+dunefolk era which is based on default. This is basically breaking the rules of wesnoth in its most extreme form, my prediction is that people wouldnt like it but even if they did it still doe...

I don't see buffing the falcon as any solution, you cant base your army around a lvl 0 unit and a scout one at that. Even if it was made lvl 1 and got significant buffs its still a scout, you can't overbuff it like that. Also if the falcon was changed the horse archer unit would require significant ...
