Re: Ladder Era - Competitive 1v1 play on the Ladder of Wesnoth

Fixed bug reported by Maboul. Starting units on Hornshark Island map should depend on player's faction. Those units are taken from the default era, I think that is ok. Taking those units from the ladder era will make the code more complicated and less maintainable. Especially considering that the la...

Hi demario! Thanks for the proposals, I will try to implement them and see how it goes. Will do that after the tournament to not introduce bugs.

l-carnitine, why do you manually compress saves with RAR? Wesnoth Preferences -> Advanced -> Compress saved games (Gzip / Bzip2)
I also recommend this free archiver that supports Gzip (gz) / Bzip2 and other formats https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

There is a macro in that file that you could use:

Re: [Complete] "Stay at home!" - the 2020 Wesnoth coronavirus tournament.

As I think - really good serious Wesnoth's tournament should try to minimize unfairness. To do this there are next methods: * playing best of 3 each game between 2 players; 1st game shuffle sides, second - manually changing, third - probably random again; * map only 1 and always the same for all ga...

Re: [In progress] "Stay at home!" - the 2020 Wesnoth coronavirus tournament.

The picker could have very well been bugged when unticking some maps, just like RBY was, its not out of the realm of possibility. It excludes maps correctly. Just tested, seems working. But actually pointless - it's not saved at chat history, so you could watch this text only some amount of time an...

Re: [In progress] "Stay at home!" - the 2020 Wesnoth coronavirus tournament.

at replay file there is xml block which shows what maps was checked before game begins. That's true, but it would be much easier if that information is shown on the screen (e.g. as a chat message in the top left corner). On the other hand, writing a wall of text is not a good user experience. I wil...
