I checked it out a bit... there's a submission fee (currently 90,- €) that is donated to Child's Play charity (minus tax). It could be raised via Indie Go Go or Kickstarter promising only that - submission to Greenlight. Maybe additional options like automatic updates after (and only if) it is accep...
