Re: Secrets of the Ancients (Undead Campaign)
Skeletons at becalmed are far better because they have much higher blade resistance and also damage. Skeletons do not have better damage, at least not in this scenario. Remember that poison deals 8 damage per round, the sailors side cannot heal itself, and the skeleton has a damage penalty in plain...

Re: Vyncyn sprites Mountain-humans
Yeah, the proportions on the stone golem are on purpose. I took inspiration from tiny in dota2 (if anyone knows him). I wanted him to have his longer arm as a third leg and attack with his other arm (if i ever get to make an animation). I would recommend the opposite direction: the bigger arm shoul...

Re: Secrets of the Ancients (Undead Campaign)
The best scenario to level up your ghouls is probably Becalmed (the scenario on the boat). You can rotate ghouls so that some of them heal while the enemy poisons itself by attacking your front line. You should be able to level up two or three ghouls to level 2 with no major loss. For the scenario w...

Re: Secrets of the Ancients (Undead Campaign)
After some thinking I got an idea that Paladins and Mages of Light are only unit types that are not going to yield to that draining scheme. So instead of making a great massacre would be good to create some not a large-scale battle of dark vs light in which Light would have a great advantage with h...

Re: Aldarisvet's sprite whitesmith
I would suggest adding the Charge special to the unit, especially if you are worried about its price. Gaining charge means the unit becomes squishier on attack when he levels up.

With gimp, you can select all pixels of the same color and fill them all with your chosen color by using shift + left click.
I hope this tip saves you enough time to make more of your awesome sprites.

Re: Nezumi Faction/Era ideas
Your last two images do not show up. Also, I would recommend that you come up with a semi-playable idea before requesting the help of an artist (sprite art can be copied and modified from mainline. Portraits are not even required in the first place). WML is easy enough; you shouldn't need a coder if...

Re: Multiplayer game on local server
Games are not stored on the wesnothd server. Once all players leave a game, the only way to return to the game is if one player reloads a savefile he has as a multiplayer game.

I'd say the elvish lady. It has no attack.
Troll is actually quite good if you have terrain advantage. In flat terrain, not so much.

Re: Lonely Era (first release available for 1.12)
For the herbalist ability, I can think of two workarounds. First, you could add an event that manually removes the herbalist berserk when the unit is no longer adjacent to the Eirson. This is a messy solution. Second, you could add additional filter tags. The herbalist berserk is only active as long...

Re: Lonely Era (first release available for 1.12)
For the herbalist special, I'm worried that it does nohing as it is. The event filters the unit based on its id, not on whether it has the special or not. Fixing this will make it easier to maintain the WML code. As for the Christmas Elves' problem, while not really affecting gameplay, it's the more...

Re: A Whim of Fate [SP Campaign]
I let you see my replays so you can see the difference in balance between scenarios. All replays are at hard difficulty. The Berserkers Frenzy replay will go out-of-synch at one point unless you add 1 to Karna's movement points maximum in debug mode or by modifying the file. That's because I moved h...

Re: Interlacing with mainline history
I finished chapters I and II of your campaign at last. As a general comment, I noticed a lot of syntax errors and awkward phrasings. However, we can understand the meaning of the text as we read it, so it's not terrible. It can be improved though. My comments scenario by scenario are as follow: Chap...

Re: Interlacing with mainline history
I downloaded your campaign. I didn't have the time to begin it yet, but I have started to look through the files. I must admit I am very impressed by the quality of your images (I've seen other UMC developpers modify mainline images for their own units, but few got results comparable to yours). I wi...

Re: Interlacing with mainline history
On Galdren's death, it could also be a spurious one. Maybe Galdren felt that he needed protection, and asked the king to fake his death so Mal-Ravanal wouldn't take revenge on him. It's not like his body was found or there was any more proof of his death, other than the king's words. If Galdren did ...
