Re: Up the River Bork

Sorry for asking a newbie question, but - how can I actually find your campaign? I'm using v1.19.23 and don't see it on the add-ons server. Can you perhaps give instructions on the opening comment of this thread?

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

even if a unit gets close enough to threaten her, her AI should currently be set up so that she'll move away and surround herself with guards.

For a skirmisher with 7 or 8 MP, everywhere inside the city is close enough, because on the next turn they can get to her.

on Hard/Deadly she starts ...

Re: Donation solicitation rather difficult to notice

If you want to support the project, you will find it.
If you've decide yourself you want to donate, then sure, I guess. But this does not encourage people to donate. And such an encouragement does not "seem sus". Many (most?) FOSS projects solicit donations prominently, and justifiably so. Many do ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Ah, thanks, I'll take a look at that. I have some special AI in the final scenario to make Asheviere harder to assassinate

IIANM, you arranged so that once anybody moves onto her inner island, some units pounce on him. But - that's not enough, because Konrad can start from a hex just outside the ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Rephrase Drake scenario's benefit
So, I finished the campaign this evening... after making a less-than-optimal choice in the second part. I was thrown off by the promise of "start future scenarios with double income" - that seems to suggest she would get double the income from here initial ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Question: now that you've played more scenarios, how did the "Elves Besieged" and "Bay of Pearls" difficulties compare to scenarios in the rest of the campaign?

So, again, I'm on Normal. My impressions have not changed: "The Elves Besieged" still seems like a banal escort of Konrad along an ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Some more issues:

Swamp of Dread - One-Eyed Master Bowman?
In Swamp of Dread, if Delfador arrives within 5 hexes of the Loyalist leader - he is recognized; but if an Elvish Scout/Rider arrives within 5 hexes from the opposite direction (mountains at 14,15; to the South-by-Southwest of the ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

That's a great idea, thanks. I'd been imagining Konrad having to run to the 17,15 keep before the orcs get there to recruit Merfolk, but a secondary ocean-side spawn does the job much better. I'll make that change, and will fill in the hexes you indicated.
But then one can't use the "only recruit ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

I'll certainly consider your other ideas as well (both for the first scenario and for the overworld), but I'm pretty hesitant to commit to any changes right now.

I'm just suggesting, or even spitballing on some of these. No expectation of you actually doing it...

I expect something like 80 ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Very understandable, but I often lose the leader's location in other campaigns as well. So, the hotkey for "Scroll to Leader" ( "l" [small letter of "L"] key by default) is quite helpful, and I use it in many scenarios on a daily basis (I use it so often that I remapped it to a closer key.). When ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

On another note - would you like bug reports here, or on GitHub? I just filed this:

#11233 : In HttT overmap, boat route plotted over land and not executable

But then thought you might prefer this thread.

Another issue: If you've forgotten where Konrad is on the Great Continent, it is quite ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

Konrad's house is mostly a lore dump. As illustrated by the message when you pass Konrad's bookshelves to go grab the gold, there's a few places you can move to for little blurbs about what Konrad and Delfador have been doing here in the forest.

Are there? Other than the bookshelves and the desk ...

Re: Heir 2 the Throne [Mainline Campaign]

@Dalas120: First, think you for your diligent work and what I'm sure, reading some comments here, is a very interesting and original campaign. And - what better way to show my appreciation than to complain?... >:-P

So, I'm just beginning to play this campaign, with v1.19.23. I am a bit miffed by ...

Re: Wesnoth 1.19.23

So, with the new HttT being available and refined again, where do we provide feedback on it? The mainline campaign feedback subforum has a thread for the old HttT, but it wouldn't make much sense to post there.

Donation solicitation rather difficult to notice

Let me ask a provocative question: Does the project want donations?

By looking at the website, and the game, it seems the answer is "not really". Why?

* There is no Donate/Support link on the main, top, navbar.
* On the main page of the website, nothing is said about donations unless you scroll ...
