Re: Cities of the Frontier (aka sim-Wesnoth)
a _ wall _ come to think of it, maybe it could be immobile 0 lvl unit like a wooden barricade with say 100hp and 50% damage resistance (except fire/arcane) and it's stone upgrade/version would have also these two covered. I think this is a cool idea and I can see myself using it to slow down the or...

Re: Cities of the Frontier (aka sim-Wesnoth)
Wow, xbriannova, that second screenshot you posted of your village is impressive. But you may be in trouble once winter starts since you have so many units! Let me know how the winter goes for you. Evander, there is impassible terrain in the Spring when the rivers flood, but that is only for a seaso...

Re: Cities of the Frontier (aka sim-Wesnoth)
xbriannova, how many farms did you have by the end of Spring? How many by the end of Summer? I am very interested in your rapid expansion strategy! I have only been using defensive strategies where I fortify my village in the first few seasons. I also only used the blacksmith and the library (spearm...

esci, I finally beat the campaign on normal difficulty. :) The campaign is very fun to play, even though I must say it is very hard at times. There is a lot of potential here. Considering this is only version 0.5, I can't wait to see the finished product! It took me until Summer of year 3 to achieve...

Re: Cities of the Frontier (aka sim-Wesnoth)
I am finally getting the hang of this campaign. I survived the first year and I had a productive spring and summer. So far it's been a blast! There are two things that I think could make this scenario better though. The first thing is to remove the negative effects on items. I said this before, but ...

Re: Cities of the Frontier (aka sim-Wesnoth)
I downloaded and played through version 0.5.0 about 5 times so far and I had a blast! I have not played any of the previous versions of Cities of the Frontier so version 0.5.0 was a completely new experience for me. The gameplay is very fresh and fun to play. Also, I like how the story is presented....
