Re: [Lock_View] Usage
Thanks for the help! Everything works now after I created a "new" macro that removes the scrolling for unit movement. I started suspecting that moving units had force scroll and may have went with the fake unit movement, but making a modified version of the existing MOVE_UNIT FILTER TO_X T...

Re: [Lock_View] Usage
Placing the
[lock_view][/lock_view]
next to each other does not work. The camera remains unlocked and the game tracks unit movements instead of staying in the "cutscene area."- August 5th, 2020, 9:35 pm

[Lock_View] Usage
Trying to get back into Wesnoth and tinkering away at various projects. So, I'm trying to lock the camera in place while a "cutscene" plays. However, attempting to use [lock_view] simply skips over the entire cutscene. The following is an except of the event, but the full file is attached ...

Re: Lordbob's commissionned work: UtBS
That said, I still find preferable an explanation involving mixing with southern population of elves which were already dark-skinned, it's by far the most realistic and the one that requires less explanations. Southern... or subterranean? Maybe we finally have to have dark elves. Just to ...

Re: Wesnoth2, Wesnoth, Inc, and other things
While 3D assets are probably infinitely easier to use than 2D ones, 2D still has it's own charm. Whether it be pixel art (retro or modern), or moving paintings like in the Vanillaware games (Dragon's Crown, Odin's Sphere), 2D art is still amazing and can compete against 3D, even if it is more diffic...

Re: My Terrain (Mine!)
As a person who enjoys making aesthetically pleasing maps, how about making two wall variants such as "Big Wall" and "Small Wall"? Mappers can use the current big walls for imposing dungeons and the like, while others can use the small walls and add emphasis on the surrounded ter...

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.5
I know I am extremely late on this subject, but decided to also post that I am not a fan of the race and alignment icons in the new UI. I dislike the look of the icons and find that simple text conveys the message much better, as well as being more UMC friendly. Also, when attempting to load a game,...

Re: Tactician's Challenge - UMC Scenario Pack
Well, as of late I've been back to working on Wesnoth again and trying to finish up Red Winter, so here is something for the meantime. As I would still like a collection of mission packs and scenarios to be a thing, I went ahead and created a dummy addon to point to the proper addons when downloadin...

Re: Would you be interested in a return of Wesnoth-UMC-Dev?
I have no idea of how such a system works as I am somewhat unfamiliar with GitHub. As for me, I tend to work alone, incorporating feedback from the message boards and asking questions when needed. I find that the forums serve my purposes well enough and don't see the appeal in hosting something else...

Re: Let’s Play Invasion from the Unknown 2.0 (Parts I and II
Congratulations on beating Part II! I can imagine making these posts rather tedious. Do you take screenshots during your current playthrough and write a note about it or reflect on your thoughts during a replay? I know there is some editing involved, then there is the matter of keeping them in order...

Re: In which cases is it better to get intelligent units?
For the most part, the best trait combos vary by unit and personal play-style. Resilient - The most well-rounded trait that will never do you wrong. Having extra HP is useful, especially in campaigns when you do not want to lose your veterans. Strong - Best used on units with multiple attacks for be...
