Re: Ockward's story for his UMC
I realise I should've concluded this earlier, but better late than never.
The work on this Campaign is on a hiatus until I say it is no longer, so know that I haven't abandoned the work on this Campaign!

Re: A twist of fate, concerning Ockwards UMC
There's no reason for the discrepancy, the hills are simply different on all maps and I might also have tweaked my technique slightly between the maps, making the hills on the newer EI map look slightly more dense. I'll use this unintentional discrepancy to my advantage, then. Thirdly, co...

A twist of fate in my favor? Old topic is still on.
I just noticed something that made me shout out loud: "Whaaaah!", and then: "Gehehehaha!!" Firstly, when I want to do something I feel for, I want to do it thoroughly. So basically, if this cannot be canon, my search for another spot continues. Secondly, there's a sligh...

Re: Did Wesnoth have crusades, and can Liches die alone?
Also, I have a question myself: When does the lich Mal Keshar appear in any other canon campaign? Let me think... (*thinks for two minutes, then heads over to the timline of wesnoth*) ... Wow, Malin is older than Delfador 8) ... :hmm: ... would be cool to have my campaign unfold after YW533...

Re: Did Wesnoth have crusades, and can Liches die alone?
EUREKA!! Was there a time when necromancy was very common in Wesnoth? My direct answer would be or rather, during The Age of Fear ( Timeline of Wesnoth ) which at its end housed the eastern invasion, Led by Mal-Ravanal. Also, about the same time Jotha is invaded by necromancers, creating our...

Re: Wesnothian Crusades?
Well yeah, sort of. Lots of the stories include factions rising up and/or killing the undead. They mostly just wanted to purge the land of undead and their evil ways or keep themselves from being purged by the undead. Hmm... suppose I'll have to scour all mainline campaigns for details about undead...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
Since the proposal now has three approvals, I'll wait until next friday to see wether there comes any more approvals or maybe any disapprovals... ... :| ... Until then... maybe I should start an art thread... since I'll probably need to train my "skill" (maybe even using the word skill is ...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
I... believe... that since the mainline wesnothian vampire is shrouded in such mystery... I would like to continue writing the story, revising things that is not-so-canon, and changing things to... ehrm... :hmm: ...mainline's(?) liking as I go. Anyhows, I wish to ask you if you think it is ok for me...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
Wow, there now has stacked up so many interpretations of the vampire, that we probably could pick some parts here and there and puzzle together the perfect mainline canon vampire. Right now I'm too tired to continue this post, heck, I even had a mental breakdown earlier too... was so depressed :( .....

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
4. The Vampire can survive a bit longer than normal because of the power of the Faerie(It contains more energy than normal blood) 5. Nothing, it turns out that the Faerie power is in the soul, not the blood. However, what if she manages to drain the soul of the Faerie? I think you'd get a LotI effe...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
:D good enough, but I do not think there really need be any explaination whatsoever. I mean since the TRoW storyline is set in ye dayes of yore, it could have been a nasty old lady with a broom that the prince didn't want to look like a pussy for running from :lol2: Joke aside, what could possibly ...

Re: What does Mainline know about Vampires?
The idea was that a vampire is what results when someone who is not an elf (or otherwise faerie-related) tries to use faerie magic and survives. The magic transforms them and uses their life as raw materials in some manner, requiring them to feed on other people to sustain themselves. There was thi...
