Re: Android port coming soon...

Oh I am both happy and fearful of this release. Could mean a lot of BFW for me!

I think ZoC works fine as is, but there could be a benefit I'm not getting from this just yet.

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

That is a very tough question.. do you mean recently or all time? Also different movies can be 'favourite' for drastically different reasons.

Buckaroo banzai?

Lawrence of Arabia?

Whale Rider?

Glory?

Wrath of Khan?

Re: Strategies?

Ok, popping back in here again to say that I think there is a lot of good advice here as you will also find if you click the 'play' link at the top of the page, but at the end of the day I think that the best thing to do if your ego can survive a loss or two is to keep playing and see what works and...

Re: Planning system/Whiteboard feedback

I am currently away from regular computer/internet (and hence no BFW) but I have been looking forward to this feature for a while. Hopefully it will be part of the stable branch soon, but I may just play a game or two with the girlfriend in the development version of the game to see what we think. V...

All important details like that are in the first two posts on page 1.
Understood, maybe just having a bit of trouble following it to know when next time might be...but granted I havent read it in detail so take me with a grain of salt.

Re: The Grand Tag! 2v2 Tournament - 3rd Edition!

Too bad I missed this. Are there at least tentative plans for one next year? I suspect the girlfriend and I could hold our own. We're pretty new to BFW, but I've got 20+ years of these sorts of games under my belt, and well she is just smart. :-) I must also admit that (perhaps in my old age) I find...

I think the OP means AFTER it has been down loaded, at least that's what I get from it.

Re: Long live democracy

And it's not like we don't lose them in democracies. A very valid and salient point, but I would still argue that the loss of freedom is intrinsic to a system where government and central planning are integral to the system and to civic identity. In the end though this is not an argument of communi...

Re: Long live democracy

No, I'm not a spambot. But I'm a bit surprised that my comment caused such a hot off-topic dispute ... I think maybe we should form a "I'm not a spam bot " support group :-P As far as the topic at hand, there are benefits to communism, but none that in my opinion outweigh the downside of ...

Re: Uncovering Atlantis: Evidence of a lost chapter in human

So, if he'd encouraged people to discuss this topic (of the Atlantis etc.) in here, rather than just "read my article" then it would be okay? Like, article being introduction to discussion? To be honest I thought (hoped) that this is what my post would have generated. I was maybe a little...
