Re: Order of loading

I have considered the implications, although your point about the lobby is extremely good. I do not consider it a particularly damaging macro, as it only creates a menu item in the right-click menu. Perhaps giving this ability to players would be damaging in certain scenarios, I'd have to think more...

Re: Order of loading

If mainline loads first, than my working won't work anyway, according to tests. I don't want to make an era out of it because then you would have to use that era. I want this to be able to apply to any scenario with any era. Thanks for the help, but it looks like I'll have to find another way to do ...

Re: Order of loading

Well, I generally like keeping projects to myself, but I suppose.... I am attempting to implement a 'diplomacy' option in the right-click menu for MP scenarios. This will allow for forging and breaking alliances and sharing gold and units (A New Land has a few of these concepts, but I want to make a...

Order of loading

I'm writing a macro for MP use. Due to the nature of the macro, I have to ensure that all of the MP scenarios (mainline and add-ons) are loaded first. How can I go about that?

LOTE Unit Release

This is for discussion of the LOTE Unit Release. Your first question is, "What is LOTE???". I'll tell you. LOTE, or Legends of the East, is a massive campaign/MP scenario/MP campaign/resource pack that I'm working on. It focuses on the lands east of Wesnoth, and I have included a map with ...

Re: The Ship macro

So you never even got to the Palette? That's very strange. Could you tell me what version of Wesnoth you're running, so I can do some tests? (the macro is available for both 1.6.5 and 1.8.5)

Re: The Ship macro

If you want to include ships in your MP scenario, here's how: There is a map file called "Palettes.map" included. It has the palettes for ships. For the construction site, always use the one with the prow pointing east(-->). For the harbor--where the ship and the Pulling Beast appear--you ...

Re: The Ship macro

Here are a few things to check. First off, are you using one of the packaged scenarios, or did you make your own? If you made your own, there are some guidelines for how to do that. I included them in a README file with the package, and have posted them below as well. If you're playing one of the sc...

Re: The Ship macro

it wont work it wont let me build a ship the caves dont work for me I'll need a little more info. I know there will be plenty of bugs for such a complicated piece of work, but I'll do my best. What specifically happened? Did it recruit the terrain and not turn it into a terrain, or did it not recru...

Re: Scenario Review: DiD 12 - Endless Night

I want to mention first that it's been at least a year since I've played the scenario, so these answers are pulled from the dim reaches of my memory (except for 1: I almost always play on the easiest difficulty, and I've used 1.6.5 for ages now). (1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have...

Re: [New Campaign Idea] "A Tale Of Magic"

I think this campaign sounds pretty good over all. the problem is that from the chapter ten to the eleven many years pass, and then they became masters (with their own magical school and stuff). If you mean that the army would have grown up and disbanded, etc; it's a common thing in Wesnoth to make ...

Re: Seven Stones--and Eleven

Okay, something is definitely wrong here. I'm seeing it end with only 7 units (missing 6), and Blum Duk is still on the other side of the river. About the only thing I noticed that differs from my solution is that I usually move the units en mass across the river. I hold them all below the grass unt...

The Ship macro

First the sound of wood sliding through the waves. Then the grunts and struggles of the massive beast out in front. And in a wondrous burst of light the sun rises, casting light upon the great ship cutting through the water with the mighty pulling beast at its head. And it is not just a new day that...

Seven Stones--and Eleven

Hi, I'm Efinari; and this thread is for the discussion of my campaign, "Seven Stones--and Eleven". I like hearing from people who have played my campaign. Did you enjoy it? Is there some way it could be improved? Did you encounter any problems? (etc...) One important thing to note when pos...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi, "y'all"! I'm Efinari, and I've been playing Wesnoth for 'a while' now, although for me time seems to go ever so much slower, so it might have only been like 2 years. :) I self-taught myself WML by tinkering with the main-line campaigns, so while I think I'm pretty good, there are some ...
