Re: Bug Report for 1.17.6! Black Screen on Turn Dialog, and "Undo" not working
Will do! I'd read that that was the recommended approach, but since I lacked a GitHub account, I reported it here... I have now quickly thrown together a GitHub account, and filed a report on this bug as my first post there. I hope it's sufficient and proper enough (my computer freezing as I was abo...

Bug Report for 1.17.6! Black Screen on Turn Dialog, and "Undo" not working
These bugs are exactly what they sound like, but I'll elaborate. The first is that, when I have "Turn Dialog" (that box that says "It's now (Player)'s turn" at the beginning of every player turn) enabled, the map around it turns completely black until the dialog box is dismissed....

Re: Archaic Resources (BfW 1.14); some terrain graphics errors
I hope this isn't "necro"-ing this topic since it seems to have been last used in 2014 and it's 2020 now, but it's specifically stated to be the thread for reporting bugs for Archaic Resources; feel free to have this reply moved to a more appropriate thread if it's better off elsewhere. An...

How do you determine a campaign's difficulty and balance, and a player's skill level?
I am unsure if this is the best thread under which to post these questions, but they relate heavily to UMC campaign and scenario development, and this topic can always be moved by a moderator if necessary. I’ve been playing Wesnoth for a very long time, and the subject of its difficulty both in main...

Re: older versions of Wesnoth suddenly ignoring add-ons and save files
When you ran the installer, did you select "Store userdata in the install location"?) :hmm: It's been a really long time, so I don't remember clearly, but I don't think I did. I know I always try to put them all in the same places, so they're easy to find when I'm curious about an add-on'...

older versions of Wesnoth suddenly ignoring add-ons and save files
I'm not sure how or if this can be helped, but it's still a very alarming problem. Recently, I've tried to play some slightly older versions of Wesnoth-- specifically versions 1.10.7 and 1.12.4-- and found something shocking. My preferences had all been reset, they claim I have no saved games to loa...

Re: Unexplained Sudden Defeat when Moving a Unit
You know what? I think I figured out what's causing it, though I still don't know how to fix it. After what was causing the unexplained defeat, I eventually started getting a sneaking suspicion about the movements of my units. So I tried having the variable of cave-entering saurians displayed on scr...

Re: Unexplained Sudden Defeat when Moving a Unit
The x and y should be part of the [filter], I believe, not directly under the [event]. Wow, that's not what I was guessing the problem was at all! I'm trying a lot of things at once, so I'm not sure what's causing the defeat. You shouldn't do this. You should program one thing at a time and test as...

Unexplained Sudden Defeat when Moving a Unit
I am trying to code a scenario for a campaign-in-progress (will create a topic for it once it's complete enough, and this topic can be moved if necessary), but have already run into a mysterious problem. I move any of my units, then suddenly "You Have Been Defeated!" pops up and every unit...

Attempting to Use Old Water Types for UMC; Trouble with TerrainWML
A hopeful "hello" to anyone reading this-- I am attempting to make a Resource Pack add-on that allows a UMC developer to use "water"-type hexes from previous iterations of Wesnoth in their work via the map editor, for whatever reason they might want to (not wanting their scenario...

Finally back and finally got some colors on the knife: knife basic5.png Also, because it's still somewhat up in the air whether or not we're showing both knives in the picture, here's a quick edit with two of the colored knife. Both knives would probably need some shading adjustment on their blades ...

Re: TAS2: The World Seed - Art Dev
Alrighty, it's flipped. I tried two slightly different ways, the latter pointing more upwards and exposing more of the handle. knife basic1.png knife basic2.png As for an icon with two knives-- I'm personally not sure how necessary it would be if her sprite clearly features both knives, but I edited...

Re: TAS2: The World Seed - Art Dev
Got the knife reference! Here's what I've just drawn up: nara knife basics 2 (small).png I've been looking at the mainline dagger images, and most of them seem to have the cutting side facing the left of the icon box. Like how the skeleton archer's knife is. dagger-undead.png So the icon for Nara's ...

Re: TAS2: The World Seed - Art Dev
I've started work on this one attack icon. Currently I'm trying to pin down approximately how it's gonna look before I move on to detail and coloring. nara knife basics (small).png Based on the sprite, it would appear that the blades are fairly wide-- though that could just be for visibility's sake ...

Re: Lonely Era (first release available for 1.12)
Good news-- replacing "type=" with "ability=" worked! Now allied units adjacent to Eirsons will either get berserk, or get berserk and be slowed. There's a problem with this, though. Units affected by "herbalist" never lose their new ability-- it should just last one tu...
