Re: Villages which only serve as terrain
Yes, the basic idea was a ruined city, where only the intact buildings can be flagged. I was also thinking of recolouring their roof to make them stand out more (which, as far as multiplayer maps go, is an unexploited concept). Sadly, the castle overlay cannot supersede one for villages. All dwarves...

Villages which only serve as terrain
So, in the editor, we have the village overlay feature to effortlessly convert any terrain into a village with different defense values. And that is neat. Can this be done in the other direction? What is the most conventional way to make a single multiplayer map where certain villages cannot be capt...

Re: Ladder Council
Let's get back to action. I initiate a new mappack survey. If you are unhappy about the shortcomings of the previous voting, this is the prime time to change that. Rules are currently the same as previous, except for the number of voters. I think the high standard of 8 points for the competitive pac...

Re: Ladder Council
my biggest issue with discussing map balance is that all I have right now are numbers there is no meaning behind them other than this map is relatively more balanced than this other map according to this person. why do maps have the numbers they have. I was the person who said they would no longer ...

Re: Ladder Council
Caves of the Basilisk should obviously be in the Competitive pack. Also, i noticed that it's not even in the Adventorous right now. That's just odd. If a map doesn't make it to the Comp, but it's not considered garbage by the council, it should automatically move to the Adv. But in the case of CotB...

Re: Ladder Council
Goodnight ladies and gentlemen for tonight's talk show on the forum! I was on a long wesbreak, similarly to almost all the council members, but we are ready to run this business again. Mostly because Druid tempted the community back with a piece of wood , but that is not our focus now. The current l...

Looks line all is not lost, far from that. Friday might be the day when the next battle happens. We wish them the freetime to manage it.

Hello, i am not dead, merely a digital outcast who is unable to obtain a computer that meets the minimum system requirements to run wesnoth, including having enough time to install a götterdammer OS. While i was using up my paid vacations to sleep, i nominated ElderofZion to be my co-organiser for t...

Re: PYRA Mettle, Insecurity, Despair - III. PYRAMID Tourname
Yeah, the lack of CG is a net loss for the tournament. Therefore, i let you play any of these maps... or maybe all of them! Round 11 - WHO KNOWS Former PYRAMID tournament systems had a best of 3 for finalists. Current system is all about keeping rounds short, but it would not be the first case i dra...

I let the two finalists decide this.Maboul wrote:Silverhead Crossing will be burned, so which map will we have for the final game?
We also skipped a Weldyn Channel... but that map is maybe too plain for the purpose. So, it is up to you.

Well, that's quite amazing. I didn't expect such an end  . We really missed a deadline for the round 9. First time I'm killed because my opponent didn't come and didn't answer :augh: Got your message. Since your opponent was indeed unresponsive for a long time, if he does not appear till Wed...

Round 10 - Silverhead Crossing Upon gazing at the fruitlessness of scheduling, the futility of all previous battles and deaths, George Rightfully Radical Martin pondered. "I should have ended this long ago." - he muttered. On his desk there was a post-it note, featuring all the notable ch...

Re: PYRA Mettle, Insecurity, Despair - III. PYRAMID Tourname
I did not specifiy the day that ends the round, partially because most of us are a bit weary and a cooldown period felt appropiate. Obviously this cannot last forever and i am going to name a day if i must. Thank you Maboul for the report on the attempts at scheduling. I will also try to contact Mod...
