Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

Usually, you don’t have a foreign light source. This is only the case for the illuminates ability (Mage of Light), which already has an aura effect. If a tile has illumination (e. g. a light beam in a cave), only that tile is illuminated itself and not the surrounding ones. Thus, I don’t know, if Ma...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Removed Units & Extra Units

ok i just checked it and see what you mean. Be my guest, choose what ever feels appropriate. are you gonna submit the changes to git? I am not as familar with the new Dunefolk extra units. You are involved more in that project. Maybe you have some ideas for the Dunefolk roster. I am not sure, wheth...

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

The individual icons could just be these , I think. As far as my two cents about how to display them - would it be possible to display them immediately above or below the gold hexagon, so they wouldn't need to be all crammed into the same hex with the unit? Or potentially they could be added to the...

[Self-Promo] Maji – an abstract strategy board game for two well-builders in the Serengeti

Hi community, I proudly present Maji, an abstract strategy board game for two players which has been released in this year. I am the designer and Spieltrieb is my publisher. In Maji, your task is to build a well consisting of six well parts and at least one water gem before the dry season begins. In...

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

I would say to post screenshots of what each of the icons individually look like ingame for a hex, plus one of what it looks like when a hex has all of them. Worst case if nobody replies, you can just open a PR as-is and hopefully prompt some more feedback that way. In this case, I need graphics fi...

Adellos – a Wesnoth inspired board game

Hi community, this year I met Till Engel, a guy from Bonn, Germany, who invented a Wesnoth inspired board game: Adellos. The name is a German pun: „tadellos“ means “not to complain about” and „Adel“ means “nobles”. Adellos is a medieval wargame featuring four factions: Royal Army, Rebels, Undead and...

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

Hi guys, I think we should find a decision of which icons we want to have. Technically possible is everything, but I feel that too much will bloat the UI, so we have find a compromise. Shall I open a poll? We also should replace the current illumination icon (illuminates.png) to be consistent. I kno...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Removed Units & Extra Units

I am not really aware of that scenario (gnat was, but not me) but as long is that scenario is user made you are able to use them as you want since they are mainline now. Hornshark is a mainline MP map with special start units depending on the player factions. Currently the Dunefolk faction obtains ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Removed Units & Extra Units

Can some of the extra units maybe used for Hornshark Island? The Dunefolk still has a roster with only generic monsters . Theme-wise it would be cool to have some of the Dunefolk extra units, like a slow Falcon instead of the quick Giant Rat and a loyal Jinn replacing the Fire Guardian and the Troll...

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

Hello together. I stole the light bulb from the existing picture from /images/icons/profiles/illuminates.png. Maybe that picture is also a bit off, because I guess, light bulbs don’t exist in the world of Wesnoth. The "capture" icon is currently only used if you capture that village, not a multi-pur...

There's a compile error, so I couldn't see how the healing/illuminates icons look in-game, but I look forward to seeing a PR of this!
Thank you, I fixed this in my fork. That is how it currently looks like:

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

How does that display the icons for tiles that do multiple things? Given all three use the same loc, xpos, ypos , they'd be drawn on top of each other, right? If you have a closer look, you will see that the icons are located in different positions of the overlay. The hidden icon is at 12 o’ clock,...

I tried to implement this. (Untested and not compiled yet).

What do you think?

Re: (2p/3p) Minimalistic Multiplayer Scenario: Honeycomb (Request for Feedback)

Hi folks!

I remade the Honeycomb add-on. All units are now more balanced, have more HP, are less glass-cannon-like and a new healer unit, the Firefly, joins the Honeycomb. I hope, you enjoy it and I am looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Re: Oddities with the cost of Gryphon (and other mainline monster units)

Units are not balanced against other units, but factions against factions. These monster units are not in a faction (UMC factions can define the cost separately), so their cost is only relevant for campaign balance, and should be considered with that in mind. I already know that. But, take scenario...
