I started off favouring red mages, but now I prefer the elf sorceress line when available because the Sylph's mobility and 70% forest defence are amazing.

Playing with the bombs is lots of fun (especially setting traps and baiting enemy leaders with them.) I've seen enemy units surviving with 1 hp too though, possibly because they're shapeshifters, which seems a bit odd. I had deployed a bomb near one of those "Matrix flow system", and at the beginning of IA's turn it had recruited a unit (crossbowman). But when it did blow up, the crossbowman wasn't injured at all. Playing with the bombs is lots of fun (especially setting traps and baiting enemy leaders with them....

Ok, now the NE leader decides to recruit 1 invader instead of 6 and the start is about 100 times easier :p I don't suppose there's a way to fix the recruit order to avoid the difficulty being so random?

And there's an imp with both Slow and Quick traits, lol

Maybe I just had extremely bad luck with the spawns because 6/6 invaders spawned shapeshifters for me leading to a loss via hero assassination - I'll try it again. Thanks.

Indeed it did; besides the hints above, you may notice a distinct lack of demons, except for the stronghold in Return to Wesmere . Tears didn't seem all that bad with a mix of veterans (elves, sorcerers, ghosts) and level 1 orc grunts backed by Quenoth Captain leadership. I do agree that the assault drones that sit around waiting to pounce on any unit that moves in range are pretty annoying.

Completed scenario 10 on 0.4.2, guess we're not really supposed to have those loyal orcs after all :P Although recruiting expendable grunts for 12 gold to cover the more important units is probably a better strategy than trying to keep loyal orcs alive in any case.
