Re: Wesnoth Eclipse User Made Content Plugin

Excellent, many thanks sir!! I love the new default font settings, and the editor windows (particularly regarding the macro display) no longer do that crazy refresh thing every time I type or move the cursor. Quick bug/question: whenever I right-click on any container (either a folder or t...

Re: Wesnoth Eclipse User Made Content Plugin

Hmm, regarding the "auto-closing" of the could you please give me an example? I've tried something like: name="my'name" And it didn't automatically close the ' thingy. Also, regarding the MDI stuff, IIRC eclipse doesn't support (without writing a plugin, that is) using external ...

Re: In-game error: Empty side= and no [filter_side]

Thanks for the help, everyone.

EDIT: Thanks to the linked topic mentioning [place_shroud] and [remove_shroud] I traced it to macros I'd written to do exactly that. I was glancing over it since it was a macro, not realizing it would need a side filter. That seems to have stopped all errors.

In-game error: Empty side= and no [filter_side]

In porting WML to 1.10, I've been encountering this curious little in-game error: Error: empty side= and no [filter_side] is deprecated; use side=1 or [filter_side] Now, I've already done some trial and error and have narrowed one particular instance of this down to a turn X event. My question is no...

Re: Wesnoth Eclipse User Made Content Plugin

While were on the topic of little fixes, I noticed that when I use an apostrophe (') inside a double quotes, it will still complete a closing (') as if it were closing a string. I kept getting extra (')s at the end of my dialog and it took me a while to figure out why. It probably shouldn't do that...

Re: How to color dialog text?

Excellent, thanks a lot. I knew I'd seen it somewhere, just couldn't seem to find it. I guess [option] vs. [message] was throwing me off.

Re: Wesnoth Eclipse User Made Content Plugin

Where's this version 2.0? :D I can't wait to try it! Having some troubles with the current one (hopefully version 2 will fix these). First I'd simply like to confirm that, as mentioned above, the only way to save is to press Ctrl + S. The toolbar doesn't exist in the standalone version. My main trou...

How to color dialog text?

Hello again everyone, been away for a while. Saw that 1.10 is out, so got inspired to do some more UMC development. I started porting my campaigns and stuff to 1.10 and ran into a lot of WML troubles...most of which I was able to fix, except for this. I had been using the Pango markup before to chan...

Re: What are you reading right now?

Oh, by the way, I haven't read any of Michio Kaku's books and I'm quite curious to read one. Any special recommendations, or is only one book in particular worth a reading? I've read his book on Hyperspace (of that name) and it was awesome. Fairly short, compared to Kip S. Thorne's "Einstein's...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

I agree about The Fountain, it is quite a unique experience. Make sure you watch it twice - it took me two watchings to really understand the timeline and symbolism, which is a massive undercurrent that you could completely miss and still enjoy the movie at face value for the great visuals and music...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

That's because you were dreaming, and still are. So what's your take on all the fallacies? I'd be particularly interested to hear your theory on how Cobb and Saito got out of limbo. If you can explain that, I wouldn't be as convinced that the entire movie being a dream is the only believable explan...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

I agree with Maiklas. Inception is one of the few movies I consider flawless, though I was a bit confused about the ending. (See below, spoiler warning) But I certainly don't think that was due to any flaw in the movie. I couldn't figure out how Cobb and their leader (I forget his name) made it out ...
