I don't see how Wesnoth would relate at all to ".sol" files, as these are created by the Adobe Flash Player, and Wesnoth does not use Flash, AFAIK. You may have another problem on your computer, though. I think so too, but the problem about preferences getting deleted or changed might be caused by ...

If this is the right place to post it, I got exactly the same problem as nindjo. I checked the status tab and it says my side is under human control, though I myself have no control at all ;D I compiled the game with scons in Ubuntu 10.04 if that can help. Hmmm, this looks very much like a language error.
What country are you from if I may ask? (it could help the coders if there was a minor typo in some new language related fix)
