Ah, i see, he meant the property and not damage type. Well red mage is a level 2 unit. So its only about lvl1 hit, or shamans lvl1 slow. I prefer the slow tbh, and flight later.

The reason that we would want mages instead of shamans is for their health and early magical attacks. Shamans have lower health than mages, and no magical attacks. uhh, why would you want mages in HttT. Leveled elven shamans get the ability to fly at lvl3 for the healer and lvl4 for the damager.

This mod is just a template adding plain power to some units, to show ranged attacks are possible in the game. Understandable that this will disbalance the existing game. This is the best thread i read in a long time on forums. (Although i was kinda annoyed by my mages missing 6 times in a row. And just as annoyed by getting 4 resilient/strong melee recruits in a row, although that was not exactly a very bad thing. ) (reloaded first, didnt the second)

Well, im not exactly agreeing, or disagreeing with your opinions(based on nothing). Ranged units put a bit more pressure on player, with an added effect of more tactical depth, literally speaking. Easier turtle breaking equals slightly faster game and puts more emphasis on units with pierce resistan...

Campaigns w/ massive armies and battles
Are there any? New player here. Haven't played the campaigns yet, but HttT. Very high quality but most maps had either very restrictive time limit(big army pointless) or no gold to support it.
