Re: rhyging5 animation comission - trolls
No problem to fix that  well, a gorilla walking have some varieties, some times it use his arms as a legs like a horse, some times it do a little jumps, some times he only uses its legs....so I suggest this two options: one more like a jump and other more quite style. Personally i think is bet...

Re: rhyging5 animation comission - trolls
well, after see that nobody is satisfied at 100%, I check again the baseframe. Concretly, flipping the image to check if the simetry works fine. And I see that, there are some inconsistences, like the head of SE (as Sleepwalker has perceived), the arms on both, and maybe the legs on NE. So now, my i...

Re: rhyging5 animation comission - trolls
.....ok i did some retouches, only some pixels modification. For me, is ok, now. But I like to hear this from jetrel, before to begin with boobing or walking animations. About walking, a gorila estyle(using hands), would be nice, but i d'ont know if match with the troll biology. What about just a hu...

Re: rhyging5 animation comission - trolls
thks for the feedbacks Sw, (and for the previous welcome),
I did more retouches; spin, arms, and face. About the old noses, well...seems that are more prominent, but think is because he is loking to the side. In the last retouch I tried to give it more definition.

Re: Standing and idle animations?
well, I'm not talking exactly to reduce the quality......I talking to reduce the grain/noise/texture only a bit, always matching the mainline style as posible, you know? For instance, something betwen current sprites and something like that:

I'm don't know about this kind of attacks on game. How exactly works?zookeeper wrote:That's pretty acrobatic for a regular attack, but would be perfect as a special killing blow animation.

Re: Standing and idle animations?
It's a good idea to simplify the texturing during animations that go by quickly, like attack and defense--most units in core already have animation frames that are much simpler than the base frame. However, the bob animation is going to be cycling on screen constantly, so it can't afford to take an...

Re: Standing and idle animations?
artisticdude and cloud, both you are right. But have you stop to think that maybe there are some aspects of current style are a bit wrong? For instance, the dark outline of most of the units it's a kind of shadow/light that don't works fine on all backgrounds. No problem with dark backgrounds like c...

Re: Standing and idle animations?
well, I think that we will not see how good works all these animations until we are playing. Maybe is just a problem of habit. Meanwhile, all we can do, is to produce a bouncing animations as subtle as posible. I want to contribute my sand grain with the dwarf fighter standing. I take the opportunit...
