Re: Fire-Forged Friends
I got someone to made a working, incredibly awesome version of the very first mission. I'm fairly sure I uploaded it as well.Tet wrote:Is there some code allready available? Sounds nice to play.
It'd be cool to get some more of that stuff, but it doesn't seem too likely at the moment.

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Just to know, did you already tried downloading Anonymissimus' A Simple Campaign from the server and modifying it? No. Should I? If you're using MS Paint for saving the screenshots, when choosing Save As in the File menu, you should be able to select JPG as file format (assuming that you're on Wind...

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Interlude The rest of the journey to Dan'Tonk went, fortunately, without any bigger incidents. There were no more sightings of orcs or the undead - but there were many drakes, and this is what worried Cheska. Considering what she had been through, their presence was suspicious to begin with, but it ...

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Ehh, I guess that was easier to figure out than I thought.
I'm not sure if I'll simply make some more vague references to him, or actually have him appear in the flesh (so to speak). The latter would probably have me ask permission from his original creator, though.

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Well, I'm glad to see people at least like to read this stuff. I just wish I was even close to competent at coding, or that at least someone else might bother. Seriously, when you can't program "Hello World!" by following every single instruction and not deviating from it at any point, you...

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Thanks. I think that uploaded everything in the folder, but you better check. The version is 1.7.5: if someone wishes to take up the whole coding thing, I suppose you'll have to update it to the most recent version as well.

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
I think it would really help if you upload everything you have to the add-on server, including the maps. Coders need to be able to see the work that's been done so far before they'll get interested. If it hasn't been updated for Wesnoth 1.8, put a warning to that effect in the description. I'm fair...

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Well, it has been nearly a year. I guess I've been in a bit of a funk. I do not like it when I'm fed hope, you know, and Solsword really did do some awesome stuff with that first chapter when it was made playable. Shame that's where it left. But this whole thing just keeps bugging me. Even after all...

Re: I'm feeling incredibly depressed
Yeah, I'm just bumping this thread in hopes of someone seeing it, seeing me wallowing in my self-pity, and taking a look at my campaign and liking it, and deciding for some reason to code this piece of [censored] for me. Because that's really the only way it'll ever be ready. I don't want to learn t...

Re: I'm feeling incredibly depressed
No word from Solsword, again. Also, my own coding attempts have indeed gone pretty badly.
Anyone still care to help?

Re: Fire-Forged Friends
Welcome back.
Not that you missed anything, at least upon this front here. We're at a bit of a stalemate at the moment, when both Solsword and I have apparently refused to work further. 'Tis most annoying, I tell you.
