Re: When are Javelineers useful?

in other games Javelineers are usually anti-archer units, so i guess that's how they work here too. seeing the Pikeman having the same resistance and more hp seems to debunk that argument, but the lack of ranged attacks still makes them easy targets, especially after rushing forward to attack. then ...

Re: Help in genesis

is there some kind of trigger mechanism that spawns the demons?
if you can't recruit, i guess it's a rogue scenario where you have to sneak around carefully and not walk into traps.

Re: Era of Magic (EoMa) 2.0 out now! Tons of new stuff!

Okay, some small issues: Mystical Jinn image are stretched sideways in the interface, and Guru landmass attack gives 4 exp to units struck with splash every time it lands. if a unit's sprite image does scale with 72x72 (for example if one side is larger than the other) it gets deformed to fit into ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Actually, I wonder how can these fireballs actually deal damage, it makes contact with skin only for a very short time and when I stick my arm into flames and pull it back immediately, it does not even hurt (and if the flames were really, really hot, they would shine blindingly bright white and not...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

i think this was reported before, but now i have encountered it too: the gauntlet Touch of Death reduces the number of attacks by 4, but if it is equipped on a unit with less than 4 attacks (so, almost every unit) the number of attacks becomes infinite. here's a save file. the item is equipped to th...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Some weeks ago, I was about to defeat Akula (final scenario of chapter V) and my game crashed. The next time I opened the game I had lost all my saved files. I will not play the campaign from the beginning again, I plan to continue with the second part. Nevertheless, I would appreciate it if someon...

i think it was designed that way :P
you only get exp for killing by yourself, not through indirect ways like collateral damage.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

What is the difference between mayhem and lethargy? Also, could someone give a better explanation of 'wrath', 'struggle', and 'horrid'? Thank you :) if i remember correctly, it goes like this: Lethargy is an aura that lowers damage of adjacent units. Mayhem is a weapon special that decreases the da...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

the new abilities learned by this are added to the list of AMLA advancements.
just like when you let your unit read a book. (but the Heroes shouldn't read books, they have their own special method to learn new things.)

Re: The strange bonus system

numbers are not only rounded down but also rounded up. the thing with leadership is that it gives a bonus of 25% per difference in level. so a lv2 leader grants 25% to lv1 units, but 0% to lv2 units. (and 50% to lv0 units). this bounus stacks with the time of day bonus. the only archer i know that d...
