Re: The Sojournings of Grog (3.7.0 is out)
Waves and Waves
Why do my allies not have any villages captured inside of their own city? (I think it would make more sense if they did have them all captured.
Please make my allies avoid the signpost. xD It sucks to arrive and then an allied unit is blocking the signpost.
Noted. I'll certainly ...

Re: 1.16 Campaign: A Rough Life - version 1.2.9
At this point it's unlikely (free time is a scarce resource these days). I'll go directly for a 1.19/1.20 version instead.

Re: Ambient and Incidental music
If these are meant to be the final versions of them, then sure. I don't think it makes sense to upload WIPs though.
I just contacted Rain/MaestroMayhem on Discord. He told me that he's "super busy now" and that you can go ahead with adding the tracks to the UMC Music packs; he also agreed to ...

Re: "A Gryphon's Tale" campaign
I would have no idea what changes need to be made if it weren't for people here talking about them, and I imagine searching the rest of the forum or wiki to find out would be difficult!
It's always nice to see old users coming back every now and then :) If you need any help, or just want to talk ...

Re: Ambient and Incidental music
Finally I found some time to listen these tracks! Sorry for being so late.
My impression (I'm not a musician, so I can't be more precise) is that Ambient, Brainstorm and Template sound somewhat too modern, yet I can see them being used in some specific situations; for example, while listening to ...

I already said it on Discord, but I'm saying it here as well: welcome back!

Re: The Sojournings of Grog (3.7.0 is out)
Is it intentional that the bandits never show up when you land in the desert first?
Yes, it is.
They show up only if you land from the piers. If you land on the beach, you fight some mudcrawlers and get a ring of camouflage instead.
Achievements for S1 would be about getting either of the ...

Re: The Sojournings of Grog (3.7.0 is out)
How about making a Github repository for this? Or, in Gitlab?
At this point it's something I'll have to consider. Are you thinking about making a pull request, or merge request as they're called on Gitlab?
Thanks for the port. :)
I'll be replaying the campaign to figure out an answer.
Thanks ...

Re: The Sojournings of Grog (3.7.0 is out)
Let's face it, you all though that this campaign was dead and abandoned.
Against all odds, The Sojournings of Grog 3.7.0 is now available on the 1.19 add-ons server!
Due to many real life issues, I didn't port it to the 1.18 series, and at this point of the 1.19 development cycle I decided to be ...

Re: Expanding UMC Music
I'm preparing a spreadsheet with all the topics listed in the first post, adding the authors, the dead links and file names of the lost tracks. As soon as it's finished I'll upload it.
While doing so, I've noticed that several of the lost music tracks were made by Rain. Without much hope, I searched ...

Re: Expanding UMC Music
Two more findings.
In the list of topics from the first post there's this: https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=22216. That "Triumph" track is part of doofus-01's Archaic Resources add-on, but I'm re-uploading it here for convenience.

As it turned out, the OP was a spammer. We discovered this by a tiny spam link in their signature, plus their e-mail address had already been reported several times in StopForumSpam.
Therefore I'm locking this thread, since we didn't have a real user to begin with.

Re: The Sojournings of Grog
The current maintainer, Elvish Hunter, is kind of preoccupied with RL these days, so it will be a while before he gets to porting it. You can contact him for an ETA though.
Did he say if others are allowed to do the porting for him?
(I mean, yes, technically the license allows people to do ...

Re: The wiki that almost no one notices
I rarely register for a webforum these days, as I need to remember/store the passwords, go through registration, sometimes also need to set up MFA/2FA, which can be cumbersome ...
That's what password managers are for. You're not supposed to invent and remember a password for each website ...
