Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation

I'm not clear on why it would be beneficial to put po comments in commit messages rather than the cfg/lua/cpp file though. Because they're comments on how the string has changed , so they're useless clutter to someone starting the translation from scratch. These po comments would not replace the tr...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation

So for the original idea of having an en_US translation, the majority of translators who have replied have been against doing this, so at this point I don't think it's something we'll end up doing. In a similar way, some (most?) of the translators who have spoken up are also opposed to using pofix t...

Re: [In Progress] Afterlife Rated Hi 1.16 Season

We do occasionally get players sending the MP mods admin messages (via /query report) to contest a game. It's not really an issue for us since it's not a frequent thing at all, but for people using the bot, it might be good to make it a bit more clear how to contest a result.

Re: Multiplayer Activity Report - 2022

It means that for whatever reason, the different clients ended up out of sync. Like one client thinks a unit died in the last attack but another client thinks the unit lived, so when the second client tries to move the unit, the first client reports an OOS error because it thinks it was told to move...

Re: Multiplayer Activity Report - 2022

Attached is a look at the rate of games vs OOS errors over time - overall it's pretty steady at around 3% of games or so.

Re: Help with compiling master on Windows 10 (msys2)

One thing you can do is check is whether the file reported as not existing actually exists at that location using the msys2 terminal, since that's also what's being used to build.

This is the same issue you reported on github, right?

[Constitution] Constitution update for joining Software in the Public Interest

Something that's been discussed on and off for a while now has been moving Wesnoth to be an associated project under Software in the Public Interest ( SPI ). The motivations for this move being: The single largest cost for the project is getting our taxes filed, by a large margin. While a flat amoun...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation

Also it's worth pointing out that there aren't any languages that Wesnoth targets for keeping up to date. Not sure how much this statement is worth. I guess English doesn't count as "any language" in there. As long as this stands as a project policy, we can all stop pretending that...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation

This sounds as something already fixed... but evidence says that is still alive and kicking... and that I must review/update my quality-check scripts Thank for the hint If you have a script that's able to find these types of issues, that'd be something we could potentially add to Wesnoth's CI and u...
