It looks like {AI_CA_POISONING} eventually leads to here, which is probably what's generating the warning.

Making those types of changes to the phpbb3 functionality would require an existing phpbb extension. We don't want to be making these sorts of customizations ourselves.

You can use something like $turn_when_things_happen?3| to use 3 as the default value when $turn_when_things_happen is undefined.

Loading screens and such would certainly be slower. Once you get into an actual game though, the number of add-ons generally shouldn't make a difference.
