I would say learn writing your own campaign first. There were a lot of changes between 1.12 and 1.14, so trying to work through those while also having to read someone else's code could end up very frustrating.

Especially given the effort that's already gone into rebalancing the Dunefolk, I think that changing unit names and-or descriptions would be the preferable way to fix any sort of ingame description problems. Unit names for the Dunefolk have also already changed quite a bit, so I'd prefer not to keep...

You could use the automatically stored variables y1/y2 and x1/x2.

So maybe something like:

[move_unit]
	x=$x1
	y=$y1
	to_x=$x2
	to_y=$y2
[/move_unit]
based on what those values should be as per the wiki.

I don't think there is a better solution for the general case, other than perhaps not setting team names based on the side's expected location on the map. How does that display the icons for tiles that do multiple things? Given all three use the same loc, xpos, ypos, they'd be drawn on top of each other, right?
