Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

In case ther was any doubt, I've abandoned this project. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Simply put, I became a father in 2012, and freelance work has taken up more and more of my remaining time, and finally my style has developed away from digital and sort of melded into a more sing...

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

Thank you! The "dad" thing is... fun. But exhausting.

Anyhow... since I can easilly sit and doodle on this for eternity without ever getting anywhere, here's a variation for the masked dwarves. Not finished. C&C welcomed.

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

I'm tinkering away on the dwarves, but it's taking a long time getting into the groove again. And my groove was always a bit slow. But updates will be coming.

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

Just posting to say: I'm alive, I haven't given up, I've just been busy. And am busy. Have become a father, so that takes time. But with some luck I will manage to finish this campaign this year, because there will be some extra time here and there.

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

Who did the other portrait of Thursagans hammer? It´s way cooler than mine, and I should think about redoing mine to fit with it. Would be nice with a sketch of how it looks uncovered.

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

Progress. Nearing finished for this dwarf?

Also... Quick sketch for the 4 different symbols. All relating to the hammer, and being sorta rough.

ESR: Sorry about not updating you more often. Too many things going on at once.

Anyhow... Small update:

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan portrait repaints

As per usual: Sorry for the delays. Life, life, life...

Just started differentiating Masked Dwarf #1. Spiked helmet, red beard, evil axe.

Any ideas for symbols on shield and belt? Each masked dwarf should get their own symbol, I think.

Re: Free Art Fridays "Summer of Wesnoth!"

OK, this is turning out pretty badly for the Fridays. Am not going to be anywhere near a computer or the internet the next Friday. But will be back with more live-drawing next week.

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire

Very nice! Awesome, in fact. I´m really jealous of the way you render metal. The horse armour is just stunning. Regarding the hand: I don´t understand why he´s holding his hand like that. Looks like he´s stroking his crotch, actually. I´d change it to a clenched hand holdning the reins. Regarding th...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire

Looks very good. I love the face and the hand especially. Only small things like the ear shadow bothers me. And the neck is potantially problematic, but I think you can render it good enough with just shading. The pose is a bit unnatural from the waist down, but that's going to get cut away, isn't i...
